I asked Chris Tilton on twitter if he had anything to say about it. " Don't have much to do with LOST really. The inclusion of the finale being just "bonus tracks" sounds like a hint to me."
I want to see this but read it's some sort of musical,or at least in part (I don't want to read too much). Is that right? Scott Pilgrim is part of a band and most of the fights take place during battle of the bands sets, but it's more of a musical in the sense that characters break out into fights as opposed to songs. That said, the music's great.
It sounds like you're faulting the design instead of the story, since they explain that they can't make the dream worlds crazy otherwise the mark will realize it's a dream. It seems like it's different strokes for different folks, though. from this review
I know what you mean man, I'm just barely making due with Paul Thomas Anderson, the Coen Brothers, Terrence Malick, Scorsese, Herzog, Soderbergh, Cronenberg, Miyazaki, Kar-Wai, Cuaron, Tarantino, Haneke, Jonze.... I just want to slit my wrists and get it over with
I loved Inception and I was amazed with how thorough they were with creating that world. The third act was one of the best I've ever seen and while the music suited the film, it wasn't anything particularly worthwhile.
The Last Winter Ron Perlman stars in a horror movie on the Alaskan tundra about oil drillers who may have "unearthed something" or whatever. The trailer had initially interested me but apart from a few scenes it is pretty ho-hum and has serious problems with its ending.
I didn't care for it that much and the ending left a bad taste in my mouth. Surprisingly enough, except for the two electric guitar parts the score was one of my favorite bits.
Sneakers Still excellent. I cannot wait for Alden Robinson's long-awaited next movie, and I would also support an expanded release of the score if it's ever released.
Knight and Day I went to it wanting to hear a new Powell score and apart from one action cue, it's a Mr and Mrs Smith clone (although maybe it's better on the album since it's mixed really low). Forgettable movie and I'm really surprised how much CGI is in the film since Mangold didn't use any that I could see in Yuma.
