  1. I don't think it would have been up to her. It's really only plot changes and character things that they would ask her permission. Plus it's only in the movie for a few minutes.
  2. How do people know that PoA was Williams' last score? He may very well to OotP.
  3. Wasn't really a spoiler; it was pretty much the main thing any media source focused on when talking about the movie. The kiss got more attention than the actual movie.
  4. You sound like Link from Ocarina of Time. "......"
  5. Sadly it's very true. Rarely would they pick up a score soundtrack composed by anyone other than Badelt. It took me a while to convince myself there were other composers apart from Williams with good music to offer.
  6. I think you're right Neil, but I supposed I assumed because Williams was conducting and Marge actually says "Pops".
  7. The Grudge. I don't get freaked out or jump at many movies; I've seen too many (most bad) scary movies. But this one was different, I jumped at the littlest things. Plus Sarah Michelle Gellar in a shower, I can't lose!
  8. Hhehe, good one Marian. He sort-of has been on the show. Once when Homer and Marge are watching the Boston Pops perform the SW Main Title, to Homer's disgust ("Could that bassoon have come in any later? John Williams would be rolling in his grave") and also in a more recent episode. It's the one that Flanders meets and dates a Hollywood celebrity and they watch "John Williams conducting the music from Itchy and Scratchy". Incidentally, most of that episode was underscored with parts of Debussy's Claire de Lune. Random trivia. So yeah, it'd be nice, but I doubt people would get it. Then again I'm sick of all the references made to some American politicians and other things I don't know about.
  9. Recently, I think Harry Potter sparked interest and it was added to by LotR (which annoys me as there are so many better scores than Shore's). I know that's exactly what happened to me. And look at me, I'm a member at JWFan.net.
  10. Huh? That's what the whole thing about Cocker and Franz being involved in music was all about. It was simply a misinterpretation on The Sun's part. Then everyone started reporting it. It was out of hand before we knew it. I never thought for a second the rumours they would score the whole movie were true. I never trust newspapers. Come to think of it I don't trust anyone but film score fans when it comes to film score news.
  11. After reading the whinings on Filmtracks about how PoA had turned into The Fury, I was expecting atonal and dissonant underscore to the max, which is what the majority of dark stuff in PoA was. I was pleasantly surprised to find the harmonic and full sounding score that is The Fury. The Main/End Title is creepy, but in a different way. It's like a dance of deathand the imagery it conjures is scary alone. That, in my book, is what an excellent score does.
  12. Probably not, as Williams doesn't write lyrics and he's probably not very good at them. Perhaps Bricusse could (and we'd get another sappy "When You're Alone"). Or even better, Joseph Williams could write them. :?
  13. I saw Tomb Raider 2 last year and heard that chord progression. I shouted out loud "Hey! He stole the Chamber theme!". Thankfully I wasn't in public, just my family giving me funny looks.
  14. Never said I did I'm just listening to other stuff as well as.
  15. The showdown would be between Shore and Beethoven, with Ludwig being the only one to survive Shore's billion-decibel compositions as he's deaf. Who will win?
  16. I refuse to regularly read this thread until more spaces are inserted into the title. SPACEBAR, DAMMIT!
  17. How much less could you care? Neil LOL I'm sick of hearing it said wrong too.
  18. I never wanted to say it, but I'm now bored of PoA. There's nothing for me to keep going back to, I've completely exhausted Aunt Marge, Dementors Converge, Window to the Past and Buckbeak. I feel like I could go back to Fawkes and the Chamber theme any time though, and even Hedwig's Theme despite the fact I've listened to that CD more than any other CD ever. I've moved on since PoA to The Fury and now Beauty and the Beast. I just wanted some more previous themes, I suppose.
  19. I wouldn't pay anything for a boot. It's no less legal if you pay for it. You may as well get it for free, it's still stealing. Not being the legal nut here, but when you can get something for free, why pay for it? Especially becasue if you pay for it, more than one person are being ripped off.
  20. Great site, that. I get all my Zelda sheet music there.
