  1. I just ordered the Oppo BDP-80. This is my first player. I have several Blu-rays already and I'm looking forward to checking them out on my system. Neil
  2. That sounds like a huge waste of time and energy. Neil
  3. Genuine stereo. It was a thrill to discover this. Neil Where were they discovered? At my desk as I was listening to the new transfer we got from Fox. Neil
  4. Genuine stereo. It was a thrill to discover this. Neil
  5. I did. But no respond yet. Probably because it's the weekend and it's less than 5 hours later. Neil
  6. Any new piece of stereo equipment is christened with "Star Trek - The Motion Picture". As you know, there is no comparison. Neil
  7. And FSM completes this weeks dragon hat trick with the release of The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm! Neil
  8. Actually I'm looking forward to the chorus of "Pass"'s that I'll be seeing at this board when it's announced. If only Thor wasn't on vacation, I could then read his post stating it's great that this music is out there but this release is not for him. Neil
  9. And of course there is a John Williams cameo in Blown Away if you know where to look. Neil
  10. The liner notes explain everything. Neil
  11. FSM Online subscribers should be able to hear a cue from the new Goonies CD when the next issue goes live, presumably sometime next week. Neil
  12. Next year I'd like them to say, "And the loser isn't..." Neil
  13. This post from the FSM board is worth repeating here. "Guys, This is why we do not post information about our releases before they are about to come out. Please do not ask about liner notes, artwork, track listing, etc... We are still in the final approval process. All will be revealed in due time. We revealed all we could at this time. Please respect the process. Thank you. MV" Neil
  14. Good question. I don't know what the "V" stands for (I've never asked). But Mike Verta and Michael Gerhard are two different people with two different professions and Mike Verta doesn't work for La-La Land Records. NS
  15. And take up less space, so theoretically the entire Williams collection could fit on one thumb drive and then the other thumb drive could be a clone of the first and stored in a safety deposit box at the bank. Neil
  16. Who knows? You're dealing with one of the largest media libraries in the world. That they can find this stuff at all is a testament to their system. The best news is that everything that was needed was found for everyone to enjoy on this new album. And no, I don't actually know what was on those tapes (this was Mike's project). Through research some recording dates were found with no corresponding material and I knew the right person to call to get it. Neil
  17. On this project I knew the right person to call when some reels of material were separated from the rest. Neil
  18. Just to be clear, the announcement is tonight at midnight PST, right? So it's Sunday night/Monday morning? Neil
  19. Due to various sales and well timed Amazon gift certificates (earned by using an Amazon card) I've never paid more than $2.50 for a Bond film on Blu-ray, and I have them all, including Never Say Never Again. Neil
  20. Tickets are on sale for the rehearsal. Neil
  21. It's the original recording to Islands in the Stream in stereo. It sounds great. Limited to 5,000 copies. Neil
  22. I would check craigslist and ebay. Maybe just even show up and see if anyone has any extra tickets. This is something you probably won't want to miss. Neil
