  1. At this point Joe, the release really needs to be everything. We've been spoiled by complete score releases that anything less for an Indiana Jones score would be a crime.

Releases like the even more expanded E.T. and the so called "Ultimate Edition" of The Phantom Menace just make collecting film scores that much more frustrating. I'm willing to wait awhile for Temple of Doom to be released properly on CD. With Indy IV apparently really happening, I'm sure we'll have this in our grubby little paws around that time, if not sooner.

  2. The score shold be presented in chronological order as Williams wrote it. The source music, if it can be included, should be put on the end of the CD's, in a manner similar to the Star Wars, Return of the Jedi and Superman - The Movie discs. This way it will not interrupt the flow of Williams' music.

  3. I don't know if any of you know that Titanic was not a huge opener, in fact it opened to only $19 million. It really never increased from that margin, but what it had was, LONGEVITY.

What is your source for that? I remember it opening up against Tomorrow Never Dies on December 19, 1997 and earning $28 million for the weekend, $19 million. It doesn't really matter though.

  4. Just a quick question....where is "Here They Come!"?  It's quite possibly the greatest bit of action scoring in a Star Wars film.  It's easily my favorite scene from any of the movies.

are you referring to Ben's Death and Tie Fighter Attack? I think you are. Truely one of the great action ques of all time.

Yes, though I tend to know it as "Here They Come!" the concert name. On all the soundtracks though, it has been called "Ben's Death and Tie Fighter Attack".

Neil - "I hope the old man got that tractor beam out of commission, or this is going to be a real short trip. Okay, hit it!"

  5. Why does everyone want Indy IV so badly? I love the films (Raiders is my favorite film of all time) yet I don't feel this great need for a fourth film. The third one ended perfectly (riding off into the sunset) as it was intended to be the last one of the series. A fourth one would negate that wonderful ending.

Neil - who would still be first in-line for a new Indiana Jones film
