Please help me understand your dislike of it.
I find it to be quite dull compared to the average Williams score. It's a difficult listening experience for me, and I don't find any of it to be memorable.
What do you like about it?

Hmmmmmmmm, no votes for The Patriot yet.
Neil
What's that supposed to mean?
~Harry
Just an observation.
Neil - who does not care for The Patriot

It's stupid sounding, in the way that the word "dungarees" is stupid sounding.

Maybe he should ask Rick McCallum to help with the enema. Hell, he says yes to everything else.

Here's a quote I read at Ain't it Cool News. "I like when Count Chocula fought the puppet."
Neil
-
How about an enema... for the whole movie, flush out all the S..., then it would be great!
I thought this movie was already blown out of Lucas' rear.

No music during aseroid chase... it needed it
They sound painful. Better get some Preperation H.

My friend that went with me to AOTC didn't want to sit thought the end credits so I didn't get to hear the film version.
Obviously your friend is not a music lover.
Neil - who always sits through the end credits to hear the music

Poor Ren, she is having nothing but problems today. Harry Potter is a pretty cool avatar, though.
Neil

Perhaps the music wasn't long enough to cover the end credits.

Thank you! I may have to look into this release. Is it any good?

isn't the Varese re-recording only half an hour?
And apparently, becasue of a clerical error, the "Entr'acte" music isn't for 2001 at all, but was music written by North for a television mini series, though I can't confirm that.
Neil

I'm sure it's not as bad as when Alex North saw 2001 - A Space Odyssey for the first time. He had written and recorded music for that film, and went to the premiere expecting to hear his music. Instead, Kubrick replaced the entire score with classical music.
Neil
-
But what of the reports that he wrote 2 hours of music?
Neil
-
I'm guessing that he did, but of course that's just a guess. Maybe someday we'll get to hear everything that he wrote for this movie, properly assembled. In the meantime, we can look forward to reading Mr. Takis' article on the butchering of the score.

does anyone really wish that Williams would write another romantic theme like Superman, E.T., or Star Wars? Whatever happened to that?!
I'd love to have Williams write another score like those three. Harry Potter came damn close. That's why I love it so much.

Fudge. It probably got overloaded. If anyone needs it, just IM me and I'll be happy to share it, right Justin?
Neil

Ricard, what are the 3 recordings? I have the Gerhardt and the City of Prague recordings, so where is the third one?
Neil
-
Yeah, this is probably the 2nd biggest complaint about the SE's after Greedo shooting first.

It's the episode where Marge becomes a police officer.

Luke burnt the suit.
Then what the hell is in the LucasFilm archives??

BTW - if Qui Gon's body didn't vanish, he's unlikely to make a re-appereance.
He can be heard in Attack of the Clones.

Skywalker is dramatic sounding.
