Wooooooooooooooo-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look at that sucker dance!

I don't ever remember deriding emotional response.
Well, then, your memory is as short as your stature. In a post dated August 2, in the thread "The state of my life...," you derided Roald's emotional outpourings, in typically empathetic Morn fashion, as "bloody instinct based obsessions." A few posts later, you attempt to fashion yourself into even more of a superman by poo-pooing Ren's assertion that there is always "a reason," dismissing it as "cause and effect."
So, tell me, if you are such the scientist, why can't you give us as rational explanation as to why, for instance, you think Tchaikovsky is overrated?
-
Both movies are movies that touch the heart, you see, they are extremely comparable.Well, Joe. I agree with you on the film. Which is quite overrated and not moving really at all.
Shift that stance! Morn, you could have a beautiful career in politics.
-
Whaaa--?
Now you've done it, Neil. You've plunged Gamecube into adolescence!
Figo, remembering the trauma when he too first understood the difference between men and women.
-
Always quantity, never quality.
Still, you have to admire his tenacity.
-
Figo, what is the problem?
I guess I just enjoy beating up on muppets half my age. :dontgetit:
Figo, probing the psychological depths.
-
Well, best stick with your emotions then, because I guess that's all you've got.
Figo, recollecting several posts wherein Morn proudly derides all emotional response -- in particular, where Roald is concerned.
-
All right, then:
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Hook
The Phantom Menace
A.I.
Attack of the Clones
None of these are exactly well-plotted. The Exorcist runs circles around all of them.
By the way, Morn, it's not madness, it's demonic possession. There's a difference -- although I realize it would be difficult to tell, living in Australia.
-
Marian - who DOES want a longer JP.
Masochist!
For the record, I wasn't trying to be snooty. I would love a longer Cowboys, as well.
Figo, seldom missing an opportunity for a good rant.
-
Well said, great one.
-
No, speak for yourself. When's the last time you posted anything worthwhile, Morn? Do you ever say anything for yourself? No, you simply react to others, by taking the opposite stance. That's not having anything to say. Hell, half the time you don't even support your views, and let it go with "Tchaikovsky is overrated. Try Prokofiev." Ooo, such cryptic intelligence. Let me touch you, great one!
Figo, who doesn't give a shit about his post count, which is why he never starts self-congratulatory threads about hitting 50/100/150/200...
-
Unlike that well-plotted masterpiece Jurassic Park.
Figo, thinking Regan is not the only one slowly going mad.
-
Pad that post count, brother!
-
The "benefits" of 20/20 hindsight. I think Morn has been jaded by too many Exorcist rip-offs.
-
Um. Me too.
-
Getting away from the computer for a week will be good for you. It's a big world out there, son. Take a look around and enjoy yourself.
-
Morn, you make me cry the most. bawling

New poll:
Morn -- CGI or puppet?
Figo, already making an appointment with the Jim Henson people.
-
Well, remember, Marian, there was actually a time when 30 to 40 minutes of music was common for a soundtrack album. Thems wuz the day of the LP. People who came of age with the compact disc are so spoiled. Even after the introduction of the CD, record companies continued to screw consumers for a good many years, giving us 45 or 50 minutes worth of music in a format which could conceivably hold 80. Still, sometimes enough is enough, as so amply demonstrated by Jurassic Park. IMHO, of course.
Hmm. The Reivers vs. The Cowboys. Do I smell another poll a-brewin'?
-
What is ever his point, Joe?
Morn the Contrarian.
-
Well, I suppose if I can get away with writing a senseless post about whiskey and whores (which Morn took seriously, bless his heart), Joe can play with his fonts.
Fade, Star Wars, fade...

The Reivers is completely out of control! Love that jew's harp, that honky-tonk piano, those sh*tkickin' banjos. This is quite possibly Williams' most inventive score -- and that's saying something.
-
Nope. The Reivers has still got it licked.

Hey, I'm an atheist (or at least an agnostic), and I thought it was terrific!
Figo, not really knowing what the hell he is, really.
