  1. Han Solo's theme is left off the Star Wars OST, if memory serves.
  2. Dear Lemon Lima (Gordon). All plucky waltzes and music box flourishes, a kind of Amélie meets Pushing Daisies without the beating heart of either, Sasha Gordon's score is overweeningly precious even at a relatively brisk 20 minutes.
  3. John Williams's score does not accurately capture the music used by terrorists during attacks or the music played during football games. Very disappointing.
  4. Oh yes, those two tracks are quite something indeed. Plus, as I said, main theme is very nice indeed. Indeed.
  5. Perhaps my favorite L'Arpeggiata album. Don't know if this belongs here, in the Sacred Music thread, or in the Jazz thread...
  6. Wasn't sure where to put this, but what an album! Fun take on one of my favorite Debussy pieces.
  7. So are you still at "Fuck yes!!!!!" levels of enthusiasm for Williams's piece?
  8. And to think you used to the board's detective...
  9. Is there any more music available than those 3 tracks on the song compilation OST? Sadly no (hence my request).
  10. http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24625#entry1025576
  11. NP: Devil in a Blue Dress (Bernstein) Expanded release, please.
  12. This reads like the kind of BS that I post! Great stuff! Not this again...
  13. I will say that his theme for FOX's Human Target is an earworm if there ever was one.
  14. Randy Newman and Jeff Rona are also great melodists.
  15. In a 1998 interview with Dan Goldwasser, John Carpenter described his stylistic approach as "anti-John Williams," so I can understand where the confusion is coming from.
