Tracks that don't seem typical of "John Williams"

Yeah, what a brilliant rip rendition of "Ludlow's Demise" -- beats the Harry Potter one! -
Among the younger generation of composers, Mr Williams has noted Thomas Newman in particular.
-
You think JW'll consider bringing back some of that "fun" (i.e., quality) for the next Star Wars installment?
-
All right, Ebenezer, that's enough.
-
Personally, I've always regarded Always as a "ZZZ" effort in my book, if you get my drift...

"The Football Game" of Sleepers kinda reminds me of "Lapti Nek" (ROTJ). -
Wow, what a great thread, guys! Keep up the good work!

or Rabin or Edelman.

Some silly restrictions on the multi-composer scores.
-
Minority Report, critically, has been one of the best received films of the year, along side Insomnia. If Newton Howard can get a nomination for (the also acclaimed) The Fugitive, so can Academy darling Williams for Minority Report.

Whatever you say, Morn.

LOL, I had to go all the way to New Zealand to pick up the Goblet of Fire PB release...it takes forever for things to get out into paperback here in the States. -

Arbitrary ratings without thoughtful justifications? I can do that! Mr. Williams's Deteriorating Powers, 1998 - 2002 1998 Saving Private Ryan: 9 Stepmom: 9 1999 Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace: 8 (would've been 10 had Williams's score consistently fit the film...and I'm referring to even the parts that weren't hacked up) Angela's Ashes: 8 2000 The Patriot: 7.5 2001 A.I. Artificial Intelligence: 7 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: 6 2002 Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones: 4.5 Minority Report: 4.5 -
"Signs" blows AOFT and Minority Report AWAY!

I thought that seen was a little cliched in some respects and ineffective manipulation I thought the hologram scene was great. I love the complex plot the movie has, you have no idea what will happen next. Well, it was effective enough for me, even though Cruise looked a little strange trying to carry off the silent crying effect... I, too, found the plot twists and turns mostly unexpected, although many others I talked to had solved the 'whodunit' in the relatively early moments of the film...
