My spouse Edwin Wendler and I had a great time last night. We even met a poster from this board. At the post concert birthday dinner we talked to many and got several photos. Here are two of Daisy & Anne. John was 9 seats away to our left. The “Superman” match set to photos/video of JW was the highlife for us. “Dear Basketball” had me in tears as some of the voice over from Kobe talked about good-bye and other words which hit us harder since he’s no longer here. Also John’s beautiful score brought out more tears. Had Anne sign my 2CD Vienna concert CD. Edwin and her chatted in German for a moment. We sat right in front of Alan Silvestri and Thomas Newman and Mike post was next to us. Wow! A perfect evening!

Sounds like it was a WONDERFUL concert, so glad so many fans of his were there!

In this article it mentions he will be the guest of honor. Also the birthday dinner to big sponsors they will raise a glass to John. For such big sponsors he'll be there unless something happens. I'm sure all his scoring duties are being all added to his calendar so it all works out fine. Since some of these donors will be spending $50,000, he'll be there and I'm sure his schedule is being tweaked to make sure he's there for such big donors. Also he'll be doing a pre-concert Q&A the following day June 24th for the Jurassic Park concert. Greetings fellow film and TV and game score friends. Bryon Davis and I from Notefornote Music just released Vince DiCola's nearly 20 minute Rocky IV: The Symphonic Rock Suite on CD. The CD is specially priced considering it's only 19-20 minutes in length for $7.99. Vince has agreed to sign some copies and we do have signed copies left. I also am lucky enough to be Vince's manager too. I still can't believe I'm part of his team. What's cool about this release is that it contains the song "Heart's On Fire", but more cool is the instrumental break "Up The Mountain" which was on Intrada's great Rocky IV score album, is included in the song where it should be so this will be the first release which includes the instrumental break in the song. The three tracks are 1. Training Montage, 2. Heart's On Fire / Up The Mountain, 3. War. Thought some of you may want this. The CD purchase also includes a free download of the score so you can start listening to it immediately. I was there for this concert and I have to tell you after Vince finished the concert, the love he received from the audience was unlike anything I had every seen. And to start a label isn't so easy. Bobby T is no longer interested in releasing soundtracks to films. Most of the people he dealt with are not involved in such things plus the studios are either back logged or they want a LOT of money. There is a lot more involved in running/starting a label other than contacting a studio and trying to license a title. Shipping, manufacturing, royalties, employee(s), supplies, art design, and so much more. Bobby has no desire to do this anymore and wants to keep doing those intimate albums. And Bryon is correct, if you see a title up digitally saying VARESE, they have it and that's that. I do hope Bobby keeps releasing those intimate albums of 2 musicians as they are a great listen. Though he probably should tweak his language now saying in his bio..."been averaging one new album release a week for the last thirty years." That is not factually correct anymore and hasn't been for almost a year. Had lunch with him a few months back, he's doing good, has some ideas of albums in the future that I think many will enjoy. I can't say what they are, but....we all love Jarre...
