This past Wednesday, ComingSoon.net had the opportunity to attend Lucasfilm and Fox Home Entertainment's roll-out of the "Star Wars Trilogy" DVD set (Coming Sept. 21st.) One of the surprise guests at the event was Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. He ended up being one of the highlights of the presentation as he enthusiastically recalled humorous anecdotes about the making of the original films, working with Kevin Smith, seeing TROOPS for the first time, and more.
However, his comments towards the end about Episodes 7, 8, and 9 really got everyone's attention. Mark told those in attendance what Lucas told him the third trilogy would be about. Hamill also went into detail about Lucas' original plans for those films, when they would be made, and more. Plus, Lucasfilm's Jim Ward confirmed that a "Star Wars" TV series is on the way in the near future (though he didn't say when it would be set).

Dan's JP3 Page reports that special effects guru Stan Winston spoke briefly at a Q&A session about the status of Universal's Jurassic Park 4.
"We made it through the entire night without any mention of JP4 until the very end," their source says. "A guy in the back row yelled out, 'Hey Stan, whats the deal with JP4?', to which Winston replied 'The script is a few weeks out'.
It's been rumored that former Angel star David Boreanaz will play a lead role in the anticipated fourth film, but that hasn't been confirmed yet by the studio.

X-Men" series director Bryan Singer signed a deal Friday to develop and direct Warner Bros.' new Superman adaptation, replacing McG who withdrew due to location and budget differences. Variety reports that Singer is expected to work with X2: X-Men United writers Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris to draft a film that starts production late this year in Australia.
The trade says that a tug-of-war over Singer's next project had been going on for weeks, with Fox's X-Men 3 competing with Warner's remake of Logan's Run to land the helmer. It now looks likely that Singer will not do the third "X-Men," even though he has an overall deal with Fox.
Besides the recent exit of helmer McG from the project, producers Neal Moritz and Gilbert Adler have apparently disappeared from the scene as well. The fate of producer Jon Peters also is up in the air.
The studio apparently scrapped a J.J. Abrams script that WB once was high on, and has tapped Australia as a reasonably priced shooting location, with a budget said to be around $200 million.
Singer also is said to have a new take on the film. Before his involvement, it was to revolve around Superman's battle with Lex Luthor and a mysterious figure from Krypton who has come to hunt down the Man of Steel.
"My interest in Superman dates back many, many years," Singer said. "In fact, it was the Richard Donner classic film that was my day-to-day inspiration in shaping the X-Men universe for the screen. I feel that Superman has been late in his return and it is time for him to fly again."

On one hand, I think Bryan doing Superman is a really cool thing and the movie will prolly be very good. On the other hand, I want my X-Men 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nonetheless, whatever he does, it's gonna be good.

Hey all,
Me and a couple of friends (including Q-Mark Man) are trying to make a movie about Con-Men, and we're still in the creation process. Can any of you guys reccommend any good con-men movies? We've already seen CMIYC, Matchstick Men, and Dirty, Rotten, Scoundrels. If you guys could come up with some that'd be great

Oh my god!!!! Thank you so much for that link, now I can finally get those Escape from Monkey Island tracks

Overall a pretty well done score, although I wish the music that is playing in the game when the Japanese are attacking Pearl Harbor was there, it had such a good chorus. Ah well, maybe it'll turn up somewhere.

Hey I just watched the Big Fish trailer, and there is a music theme in there that I really want to know. It's right after the photo of the science fair, when Ewan is walking through the forest with a key around his neck and a raven takes his hat, and the narrator says "From the imagination of Tim Burton". Anybody know where the music that starts there is from?
-
Where did you hear him pronounce it? I've followed his interviews pretty extensively and have never heard him define the pronunciation of his name.
Its on the Medal of Honor soundtrack. On the last track, his mom(!) is conducting the band in a version of Stars and Stripes. They say his name then.

I wanna see if Williams makes another theme along the lines of Hedwig and Fawkes.

I liked ID4 when I saw it, but now its just funny to watch them making fun of themselves. Kinda like Armageddon.
I just watched X2 on DVD, and TTT Extended Edition. Awesome

Spoiler Alert
I heard that Harry Osborn finds a secret compartment with his dads goblin armor, and that he gets involved in one of the fights in the movie, or might be in the next movie. You can see in the trailer that Harry has the knife on Spidey, and thats when Doc Ock is saying, He's all yours, you can kill him, I think thats what he says.

He scored Gilligans Island?

-
Lets see...Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Bryan Singer, M Night Shyamalan, the guy who directed Patton, Wolfgang Peterson, and lots of other guys who i cant say because I dont know their names

The music in the trailer was modified a bit from his old stuff, so it was new.
-
It was kinda boring, but it seemed like Elfman really wanted to revamp that theme of his. I guess adding that choir to it made it sound a little better.
Are you saying thats new music? Cause I think thats just old music from the first movie, Ive listened to the soundtrack and it sounds like its from the first movie.
I'm looking forwards to the plot twist in Spidey 2, its hopefully gonna be really cool. And Cliff Robertson and Willem Dafoe are coming back to shoot some flashback scenes! Score! Molina looks pretty good as Doc Ock, and I hope they use him well.

Well Im gonna reply to this now.
and they cost $128.50 apiece.
It wasn't my idea to have him bid that much, I was just amazed he put MORE than that in, and thats what it came to.
You ignorant fool. You need not buy any of his soundtracks to appreciate, nor play the games he has scored. I can assure you he is worth your time
Damn right its worth yours and everybody's time. I've listened to all his medal of honor scores, SWON, some of the Lost World tracks, and some of his obscure other compositions like the ones for the Small Soldiers game and the Muppet game he did(which was surprisingly good, KERMAMBO!). I have not listened to his Alias score unfortuantely, but I plan on doing so soon.
Giacchino is definately a rising star.

I just loved the entire score, especially the two suites he made. I was watchin the dvds today, and the just the music in the menus were great. So sad that he died, i would've liked to hear some more of his music.

Medal of Honor: European Assault
I listened to the previews of this on iTunes a few months ago and I loved the main theme, just decided to buy it, and I don't regret it. Lennertz has his own sound while giving slight nods to Giacchino's work. That main theme is also just gorgeous.
