I agree. The cue ' The Hunts End 'didnt needed to be joined with the 'Death Hunt'. I just love grunting basoons there - one of my favorite tracks here. Thankfully the FSM track isnt bad either and its seperate. I havent compared the NERETEVA version of 'Death Hunt' ( here called Hunt Scherzo) but its a little different in tempo. Interestingly the next cue 'Danica's Death' which is again a variation of the same piece but seperate.

Same here. I've never seen a live performance of this. So it is the album version here but nevertheless I find this a nice change from the usual 'Adventures on Earth' The performance [on the posted video] is bit tad slower but still works fine. I hope they record the whole thing when it happens. 'Solo' is by far my favorite addendum in the Star Wars tapestry outside the 9 films.

I'm still puzzled why don't they talk about AMISTAD. They have discussed 2 different releases in a single podcast before... Anyways, Im Look forward to this 2CD set. 2CDs suggest that Williams must have been eager to get this one out.

Here is my list of unopened sealed John Williams titles. Around 160 plus in total that are still sealed I just wait for the right time and mood to play. Unfortunately My amp system were malfunctioning for quite sometime so I was buying more and playing less. The recent 4K Oppo player acquisition is going to get things back in order but choosing the right album is hard!

I hope they will cover AMISTAD on this one too.

I'd love to hear a new remaster of SLEEPERS in a high resolution pass. I dont have the math on what's missing but the score has a heart. And what a movie.

I'm sure they eventually realized their mistake but it was too late by then as the CDs were hitting the stores. Eventually, some one must have realized that they supposedly used the wrong master by mistake and not the finalized corrected version that Shawn Murphy had overseen. "Oh well...we can fix this next time" There is always a next time.

Im so thrilled that our very own Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy (Ms Marvel) is going to do the Daisy Ridley film in 2025. This would entail re use of Williams material from the the last trilogy. I just wrote to her and pleaded that she get John Williams to at least revisit and write a new theme for the New Jedi Order. Ie if he does not want to do any more STAR WARS films....Lets see!!!!

Today during Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced that three new live-action Star Wars films are on the way. Helming the movies are James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka), and Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel, Saving Face). We are absolutely thrilled that my own kinsmen from Pakistan has landed the biggest project ever! So proud!!!

Wasnt the 6 films LP Vinyl set collection that came before the demasters also done by Shawn Murphy. I know it's been ages since I watched that youtube discussion with Shawn Murphy and this team who remade the set? I have this by the way.

Intrada is the only one who has officially indicated a title from John Williams. As the year progresses many other titles will pop in. Keep in mind, as Indy V starts hitting in May - June period other potential expanded release of Williams could be intentionally spread out so as not to over lap. Not a hard or fast rule but could be.... Im sure both LLL and Quartet could have some interesting stuff lined up.

I did prepare the choral transcript using the leaked files that Jay shared. I'll post it up in a while. It is kinda aligned with e edited cue from the ost. Should we get a C &C release in the future I wouldn't be surprised if at least 3 or 4 alternate versions of it were included.
