  1. Yes it's better to get stuff rather than wait for your tax returns cheque. I missed out on WFRR? Hoping it comes around soon.
  2. What's the mutter with you folks? 🤔😉😂 I've fathered 2 kids between age 43 and 46!!
  3. Speaking of our beloved Sophie Anne, she dared to stop her concert performance and confront a millennial recording her performance. Apparently an argument ensued and Sophie threatened to end her concert performance if the recording was not stopped. WOW! I love her taking the stance for the sake of concert etiquette. (I wonder if that situation itself was recorded though ) Read below. https://www.classicfm.com/music-news/violinist-anne-sophie-mutter-beethoven-smartphone/
  4. Yes. "An epic is a long poem or other work of art celebrating heroic feats. ... We tend to use epic for long, ambitious novels or movies, especially if they involve a long journey. Epic can be used as an adjective to describe something historically important, lasting and complex." SPR can be considered as a War Epic.
  5. Besides THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK cue as mentioned above, the photos captured at the recording sessions indicated the music sheets of 'Han Solo and The Princess' From THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. We don't know for sure if these were recorded or left out entirely from the sessions.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. I picked up another title I had been wanting for quite some time.
  7. I ordered mine last night directly from Presto Music in UK. Great price too!
  8. Just ordered it along with HOWARD THE DUCK, and AIRFORCE ONE. I never warmed to it with an exception of a few cues. So Iam taking an awful risk, Jay.
  9. Iam so glad that AIR FORCE ONE is indeed coming. It was already in a sort of pre-production of sorts with Varese just before Robert Townson left. He had a list of titles in place which he hoped that Varese would continue. So looks like Varese took a wise step. Curious about the other clues........
  10. Just saw this post on Anne-Sophie Mutters Facebook page about the Munich Concert. Wow – what an evening that was at the Königsplatz with music by the legendary John Williams! David Newman and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra were on fire; as was the amazing audience. Thanks to my best fans ever: this evening will stay in my memory as one of the greatest adventures in my life. It all started out with me (in the hair style of Rey) presenting my green bow (quite an alternative to the light saber -:)) Each set of music was arranged by John Williams to be in itself a cosmos. And I foll
  11. Its a possibility- if the movie is a critical success -it will eventually get an Oscar nomination. However, If the Academy votes to honor Williams one more time- it would certainly be a full circle for Williams starting with the 1977 film and ending it with the 9th film and winning his 6th.
  12. I was just thinking the same thing. or Williams probably made up his mind in between. Maybe he will occasionally supply a theme or two but that's it. He needs to finish one more Indiana Jones film and do a new recording for Sony Classical summarising all themes from the the Skywalker Saga as we know it. I think it was a very good introspective interview. Maestro Williams has poise, grace and a deep soulful spirit. I could almost hear some melancholy Herrmann score in the background. At 87, John Williams is just amazing.
  13. You Elfman fans need to get the expanded PEE WEES BIG ADVENTURE score. The music is too good, lucky for me I bought the big box set when it first came out. Let's hope this gets out someday as a separate release.
  14. Ah I see. Then Add to it EXPLORERS as well and maybe they can add the OST as disc 2 with the songs.
  15. Intrada already did The Boys from Brazil ages ago. Leviathan is owned by an Italian film company that also produced the movie and won't license the score to anyone even though (the labels) they are all pursuing it.
  16. And the next Intrada release scheduled along with HOWARD THE DUCK is none other than the world premiere of original John Barry KING RAT score along with OST album which turned out to be a rerecording. This is the 60s score that Doug Fake was super excited about in his blog. It's an interesting mature score from Barry. The OST album had been long OOP. Listen to Intrada podcast below: http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8268&p=81747#p81747 And.... ...... Also Coming after KING RAT and HTD release is anoth
  17. I'm more curious about the DVD section, I wonder what else does it have on it besides the interviews we have already seen snippets of? Maybe a raw taping of Witches of Eastwick??
  18. yeah,I know. Iam refering to Ann Sophie doing this version. Wouldnt it be cool to have it on cd? Here is the DELUXE EDITION packaging!
  19. I'd love to see Leaving Home cue from SUPERMAN as a new arrangement. It could be breadthtaking.
  20. I heard a brief snippet of Leia and it does sound gorgeous. Honestly, waiting for the 27th Sept release album to enjoy it fully. RAIDERS was pretty interesting, at first I was worried if it would be an entire Violin affair- it turned out to be an orchestral overture with certain sections on violin accompanying the orchestra . I'll need to hear this again. But it did work out fine. And WITHCES OF EASTWICK was too good and dare I say, Wicked! Will this concert performance be on DVD- Blu ray later on?
  21. I haven't revisited the movie in ages and it was one of the first blu ray movies I had bought when the new medium was exploding. I do love the main theme and the score album is alright but it didnt make much of an impression to me as a whole. So I hope a new remastered expansion would do it justice. Id love to hear the high res transfer that Mike Matessino does so superbly. I hope this project was being pursued before the Sony lockdown.
  22. How much unreleased music is there from the film, not including any alternates?
  23. Music is a mixed bag, half sultry, Noir like moody jazz think The Specialist and has a Bond like adventure tone. The score has a nice triumphant theme that could have been Barrys version of Indiana Jones. It's a great Barry score. WILLOW or THE LAND BEFORE TIME.
