Before I even saw it, my janitor told me that this guy cut his hand off and that he was His father...all when I was looking at the Empire poster in the newspaper. I was only 10 at that time. Lol. And I hadn't seen any of the STAR WARS film. But luckily I had forgotten about it. Only when I saw it finally I was given the right shock moment and afterwards was able to recall and understand what the janitor had told me. Years later...

I can't get enough of DANCES WITH WOLVES. The LLL set is defintive. Epic and transcending in all respects.

I agree. The percussion is really jarring but in good way. I think the OST and film version are different recordings.

In the FSM thread it's mentioned that a reissue was long planned with the remastered OST album so this might be a 3CD set? Also the previous set was remixed with the composers own involvement. I think if they were to revert back to Eric Tomlinsons original film mixes would be even better; let's see....

That synthesizer cum percussion recording? A full fledge organic recording ala the original orchestration would always be welcome but dont expect it anytime soon specially in this time frame.

The recording itself sounds so good. I won't be surprised that this cd will probably garner some Grammy nomination. Can't wait for August.

Dunno. But This came out as a DTX cd Audio in a 5.1 mix in 1998. They reused that same DTS mix on this SACD using a higher DSD resolution. This SACD came out in 2003. Prior to that there was a 2 channel stereo only SACD a few years earlier.

I paid £90 for the SACD! What was I thinking!!!??

New arrivals from Intrada and the super rare 5.1 Multi Channel SACD of TITANIC.

A while ago I got the Multi channel 5.1 SACD of James Horner's TITANIC. The LLL expansion's sound quality is leagues ahead in stereo. Similarly the LLL CE3K issue is far more stellar in soundmix than the OST SACD issue that came out a year earlier before LLL. LLL expansions are definitivly better and so is Intrada (specialy with Matessino's involvement)

I suppose the sucess of this album may warrant a 2nd collaboration. Its all pre planned. I have forseen it. !
