  1. Yes. Isn't that the one where Lucas is being weary about the use of Guitars in the mix? " Usable or Loosable" he had quipped to Williams from the inserts being recorded for Coruscant Chase cue.
  2. Ha. I'm sure in a few years Intrada will have unearthed the main recording sessions from Lucasfilm and then reissue with all the missing unreleased bits and cues and alternate takes as a 3CD Set with the OST. But right now this release is going to be epic!! We will have enough music to enjoy in the interim period.
  3. Maybe thats becuase we are all sitting here..waiting
  4. Irony is that only a handful of operating staff, the musicians and the film makers attending are hearing the world premiere of the music from Indy V these days. Ain't that something?
  5. Interesting read above. Just curious which score got shifted from Budapest to Germany? I remember TOTAL RECALL was shifted from Germany to London when the orchestra couldnt handle the score but this was much later in 1989-90 period.
  6. Lets hope they do this right this time even if they dont take Mattesino's support. They will probably go with Shawn Murphy & his entourage redoing the whole thing his way.
  7. @lairdo My copy arrived within 10 days which is pretty fast from Presto but they shipped via their UK outlet which is why. They have a far better price than other online options. WIll definetly order again from them for the Bluray.
  8. Also they didnt have the direct session masters. They used the final mixes that Horner had made himself. Also something was mentioned that it was originaly a 2CD program?-I cant recall exactly.
  9. But I THINK it became out very prominent in WILLOW. From then onward it became a very recognizable element.
  10. I became aware of his legendary name when I read that he had to conduct some sessions for John Williams during JURASSIC PARK because Williams had some back issue and had to rest. RIP.
  11. Come on, lets have some optimisim here. I think Mike Matessino did the whole thing here.
  12. Exactly! It doesnt get much bigger than this release!
  13. Didnt know that there was DVD set with the OST CD in Brazil. Note the similar artwork..
  14. So this is the BIG 'Non John Williams' release that Mike Matessino was hinting on previously on a podcast. As I had suspected earlier in that discussion thread and since its a Lucasfilm/Disney thing its going to usher in a new chapter for the label (s) Im looking forward to Matessino's work on this and hopefully liner notes by him. This is such an important and pivotal release to come!
  15. I also doubt it, since today is already his 7th Death Anniversary and it would be in bad taste to release this so soon. An ideal time for any new Horner release would be August when we celeberate his birthday !
  16. From the remaining composers list check out which title could be associated with "Tour De Force" and you will guess the title correctly. I have a good guess and it's also got a 4K Blu ray release as well recently.
  17. That's the strategy to turn down projects politely he doesn't want to do!
  18. Ugh, on the RCA Victor Special Edition releases for both EMPIRE and JEDI they decided to raise the overall center channel destroying the original recording balance.
  19. You need an MQA encoded player or amp to get that studio like sound. Otherwise the cd will only output as a normal sound. I have a few of these including the Berlin Concert but alas no DAC Codec to support this.
