So after a week in New Jersey my Dial of Destiny CD order was in Jamaica, NY (JFK) yesterday and should be flying to Canada soon. Hopefully customs will be as lazy as those handling my recent La-La-Land Always, Sabrina, and Amistad order and just let it slide through without any taxes.

Nice. I'm in Row F. It'll be my first time at Carnegie Hall, so I'm looking forward to that too.

Got mine today (Germany), and had to pay the postman an extra 8 Euros of customs.

Recently, I've been very impressed by John Williams' arrangement of The Long Goodbye Theme as heard on the DG Violin Concerto No. 2 release (2022). 
 
I think it may be one of Williams' very best arrangements and it puts the theme in a completely new perspective.

The way inflation is going maybe Americans can petition and have his face put on a new $200 bill. Or given his prominence as America's national composer, get minted on the $1 coin like Austria has done with Mozart on the Euro coin.

I think it is also written in the horn parts, Bells up!!
 
 

They will throw in some non-Mutter pieces to let her rest.  Probably some opening fanfare, a middle piece, and end with Throne Room.  

Yeah when I saw it was a "benefit concert" I was a little worried that it might be in the $400s like I paid in New York in April (at the end of a year-long gap year I just finished paying off two weeks ago)!
 
In Philadelphia it was close to $200 in 2022, which given current exchange rates was already tough on a Canadian's wallet.

Yeah, this pricing is much more what I’m using to for Williams, even with special guests. The upcoming NYC and Philly prices are ridiculous, especially the latter!

Just got tickets for me, my sister and my mom. Can't wait to see him in concert!

Yep finally got one row F a little on the left and got a confirmation. There was one available dead center in the same row but lost it when the site crashed. Looks like it's back now if somebody wants it.
 
Left side should be good to see the interplay between Williams and Mutter.

It's the slower, more elegant version of "E.T. And Me" that premiered in Boston in 2009.  I suppose the only "story" is that he probably wrote it for the Boston Pops harpist at the time, Ann Hobson-Pilot.

This is correct, a specific wooden rostrum travels with the orchestra. There are multiple, but they look the same. 
 
 
The documentary crew was on-campus and filming for the days leading up to Film Night, and the concert itself.
 
 
Yes, a new edited version by JW was premiered in the Film Night concert. 
 
Using the HL Signature edition number system, 2 bars were added between m 24 and 25. HL Bars 25 and 26 are slightly re orchestrated (added vln2+vla trem, vln1 8va, HL m.26 beat 2 triplet). HL m.27 is as printed. HL m40 to 44 has been completely rewritten with new melody, harmony, meter, and orchestration. HL m.45 is back to print. 
 

Wouldn't it be funny if after all this debacle, Disney simply tossed a free copy of the CD with the special edition Blu-ray set like Universal did with ET and Schindler's List DVDs in the mid-2000s?
