  1. 1. Double Trouble (Trailer Version) I think this was the best version recorded, and I was very sad to discover that it wasn't on the soundtrack or even in the film. I think the whole score should be released, but I know that won't happen any time soon. As for my Top 5, I really need to see the film a second time to be able to give a fair comparison to the album. I didn't even look at the track titles of the second half of the disc until after I saw the film (and I'm glad I didn't).
  2. A little of that may be true, but most of it is certainly crap (as seen in the lovely photograph above).
  3. There was one thing that disappointed me a little: the beginning of "The Knight Bus." The first time I heard that on the CD I almost wet myself! It was so jarring! So when the Bus scene started, I made sure that I was ready for it. Then it came and went, and I thought "That was it?" It wasn't a jump scene at all. Does anyone else think that score was not nearly loud enough in the film?
  4. Buckbeak's Flight combined the wonderful visuals gave me goosebumps. Just seeing the two combined gave the music a whole new dimension. I really love that cue!
  5. Well, I saw it. And I think I like Chamber of Secrets more. (Before I continue, let me say that I have not yet read any of the books.) POA was a good film, but I think Cuarón took artistic license a little too far. This is a series, and there should be a little more visual continuty between the films. Why totally re-imagine the geography of Hogwarts? I thought it was fine before. And the color grading! Another thing was the ending. Look at COS: the cool zoom out from the hall to the outside of Hogwarts plus John Williams' amazing music made that an awesome ending. This time, we get a freeze frame of Harry's face. Aside from this, I didn't really like the way the story ended. From what I've heard, the book has a much better ending. I still liked the movie, but those few things bothered me. Anywho, that's just my opinion.
  6. Excellent stuff. It made me laugh out loud the first time I heard it. Also, his quote of the Ark theme in the Last Crusade. I agree with both of those. The first thing I though of when I came to this thread was the Yoda moment in E.T. I just listned to it. I think I heard what you were talking about, but I really doubt that that was intentional. Badelt's POTC, "Underwater March"
  7. I just went to the dentist yesterday. Weird. My mouth still hurts, dang it. Anywho, as for the topic, I'm proud to be an American. Badelt's "Barbossa Is Hungry" from Pirates of the Caribbean
  8. I have the same problem. I never have to log in on the laptop, but I have to every time on the desktop. It's really annoying when I log in, type a post, then have to log in again (and then the post is gone). I just logged in at the main page, so we'll see if that works this time.
  9. First Star Wars, then Williams' by title, then the rest by composer.
  10. True. The version of the script I pulled it from said "we are", but it does sound more like "we're" in the film. It could just be that he's saying it really fast, though. But now that you mention it, I think I will change it.
  11. I agree about Home Alone. That album gets a lot of play around the holidays. The songs are great. - Kendal_Ozzel, who is glad others enjoy his favorite Star Wars quote as much as he does.
  12. My girlfriend digs film scores, too. She likes Elfman more than Williams, but she still likes Williams a lot.
  13. I enjoyed Come Fly With Me on on CMIYC, but unless the complete score is on the disc with room left over, there's really no reason for songs. And in my experience, Enhanced CD material is rarely worthwhile. They should put it on the website or the DVD-ROM.
  14. I heard about this a few weeks ago too. The articles said that the set would not include any EE material.
  15. They've got Hastings in Arkansas and Oklahoma, too. I got mine for $14.99 at Target.
  16. I can wait another 10 days or so for the CD. Besides, I don't want to install any crap with AOL's name on it onto my computer.
  17. They just renew your subscription for another year. I think the price was $30 a year before. Now it's $40, but you get Hyperspace. Here's the link: http://www.starwars.com/hyperspace/about/n...ws20040428.html.
  18. I'll get Hyperspace just to see this! BTW, StarWars.com just announced that they will be merging Hyperspace with the Fan Club and Star Wars Insider magazine. The whole package will be $40 a year. And no, you can't get Hyperspace with getting the magazine or vice versa. That's okay with me because I'm already a member of the fan club but not of Hypserspace. But for other folks who just want the online stuff, that sounds like a pretty bad deal.
  19. The first time I heard it was in the film, and I didn't really pay it much mind. I wasn't much of a hardcore soundtrack person then. But a few months later when I got the soundtrack and actually listened to it, I was...really really happy. Beautiful theme. Final Confrontation from Elfman's Batman
  20. I think it'll live up to expectations. I've been going through JW withdrawl for a while, so I may be a bit overhyped. But I still think he will deliver. If the bits of "Something Wicked..." that we've heard from the trailers are any indication, I think we're in for a real treat.
  21. I just listed to LALD again today. I agree that it sounds better in order. In fact, the score itself has really started to grow on me. I hated it at first because of it's "70s-ness", but when you put that aside, there's some really good music in there. "Bond Meets Solitaire" is one of my favorite tracks on the disc. And I think Martin may be, IMO, the best one-timer in the Bond world, followed by Kamen.
