  1. Bummer that the Mouse probably won't do anything about it. Other studios have recalled for less.
  2. Awesome! This is one of those score I love but have never owned because it's long OOP and used copies were crazy expensive.
  3. I'm surprised this one doesn't have any votes--it's a great song! Oops, I forgot to actually vote! Fixed now. As for "Star of Bethlehem," it's really the orchestral version that I love the most. So it's sort of a "Love Theme from Superman" situation where I feel like I would be voting for the song because of that.
  4. There's not a one of these I don't like quite a bit. "Nice to Be Around" is certainly one that sticks in my head a lot, thanks in no small part to the words Paul Williams threw on top of it, as it were. But I might have to go with "Big Beautiful Ball," actually. It's the one with the most plays in my iTunes.
  5. Yeah, that was my first thought. But Cocoon seems likely too. It's been out of print for a good while. And, side note, if it is Cocoon: since they will have inevitably cleaned up the score, it sure would be nice if Fox could use that to create a new sound mix for the film and reissue it on Blu-ray. The score on the current incarnation is warbly as hell.
  6. Y'know, with Warner Bros. putting out so much Eastwood on Blu-ray, you'd think Universal might want to step up their game a little... starting with, say, The Eiger Sanction.
  7. What unexpected, fantastic news! Here comes Oscar nomination #49...
  8. Yeah, I think JW at least ought to be in the banner. But otherwise, I like it.
  9. Sweet, that's the lowest price it's been by a good 6 dollars! I didn't order until a month ago when it hit $19.99, but since I paired it with a preorder, it hasn't shipped yet. So I contacted Amazon and they lowered my price to $13.99.
  10. Gotta give the Mouse props for at least using Michael Frith's original gorgeous LP cover art. Did not expect that.
  11. What with the recent word that a rerelease is unlikely to happen any time soon, I finally picked up The Reivers. $26 altogether, so not too bad. Now there are only three JW scores that elude me: Jaws 2, The Eiger Sanction, and The Towering Inferno.
  12. 100 bucks off the regular price is a good start. But it would take another 60 off for me to think about it. Maybe Cyber Week will bring a better deal.
  13. The Harry Potter Wizard's Collection is on sale at Amazon for the almost reasonable price of $209.99.
  14. I lost track of time and forgot to tune in on time, but fortunately when I did, it was about a minute before Lincoln bit. Didn't miss anything before that, did I?
