  2. Hello! Just like we did with Jurassic Park (1 2) and ET (1 2), here is a thread to discuss the actual contents of the new release, leaving the existing thread to be where you can post your shipping updates type stuff, so actual discussion is separated from that stuff. I'll re-post here some comments from OneBuckFilms since I forgot to make this thread before he posted them there!

  4. After the announcement, MV said: We tried, but WEA gave it to Perserverance then apologized to us (forgot we asked for it when the license was with Collector's Choice). Sorry guys. Maybe in a few years time a complete release will happen. In the mean time pick this up. It's only $13 and will sound better than previous releases. MV & No, buy this version first so it will sell out fast. Then, we can do ours. MV Source: http://filmscoremont...mID=1&archive=0

  6. Admin note: This thread is largely hype for the release before it's release date, and then ordering/shipping/"it's arrived!" talk afterward; Please relocate to the following thread to discuss the actual musical content of the release: http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27984-close-encounters-of-the-third-kind-la-la-land-music-discussion/ News from someone in attendance at the CE3K 40th anniversary discussion panel

  8. Wow, I thought there was a thread for this but unless the search engine is broken, there isn't. So here it is! Anyways, I just wanted to mention that for the next 13 1/2 days, you can purchase the Lethal Weapon boxset direct from LLL for $95.98 instead of the usual $119.98, a savings of $24! This essentially makes each film's 2CD Complete score cost $24 each instead of $30 each. http://www.lalalandrecords.com/LethalWeapon.html Offer expires on April 21st 2014 at 11:59PM PST!

  10. For all of those clamouring for an Oliver Stone Box set from LLL as a possibility... Mike Matessino had the following to say at the FSM LLL June 2020 thread: https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=140451&forumID=1&archive=0&pageID=1&r=748#bottom
  11. Great, great news. Don't really understand how closing their website is gonna help anything, though...
  12. There wasn't a thread for this release yet, so here we go. Anyways, I was looking for a thread for this, because I read these interesting comments on FSM: It definitely sounds fake in the LLL version, but it could also be that the album mix (rightly) buried the male choir in a way that conceals its fakery better than the LLL mix. If that makes any sense. But it's definitely way too pronounced on the LLL version. http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=102269&forumID=1&archive=0 What do people here think about this?
