Sandor 459
What is it? I've been hearing that phrase many times now over the last couple of months and still don't know what is implied by it. Help me out here, ok?
Mr. Breathmask 480
Sheet music of Williams' scores.
futuremartymcfly 0
but isn't it like a special edition sheet music of william's scores, like for orchestra or something?
John Crichton 4
I think it's one that's fully orchestrated, just like the one Williams himself would use in recording sessions. Unlike the simple piano/one instrument arrangements that are more commonly found.John- who would desprately need a Signature Editions for Dummies translator if he ever actually saw one. nightscape94 965
I believe it's fully orchestrated sheet music that has been approved by Williams (it has his signature on it ). It's the version of the music that he generally plays in concert.Tim
ChrisAfonso 159
Well it's supposed to be Williams' actual complete arrangement of the music, as opposed to many orchestra suites of film scores that are available for lots of scores (Williams, Zimmer, Shore, etc etc etc...), that are arranged by some unknown guys and often differ somewhat (sometimes more, sometimes less) from the original arrangement... The Williams SE's are the real deal. Those that contain "Main Titles" etc. are virtually exactly like on the OST (well sometimes Williams has added an intro or a coda or something). orrakul 0
I read somewhere that for some signature editions, JW had "lost" his original manuscripts, and re-compiled his manuscripts while listening to the OST's. Did anyone else read this, or is this just a myth that's out there in cyberspace?
