Pieter Boelen 633
Hello all,I was wondering what sound effect free expanded or complete scores exist from the Star Trek movies. I'm trying to get some, but I don't know for which version I should look. :?
Trent B 317
There's a complete bootleg for Star Trek The Motion Picture but the sound quality shifts through out the score. There's a complete score for Star Trek First Contact... 30 tracks with good quality sound. An expanded score for Star Trek Insurrection. Nearly all the cues are there but it doesn't have the film version cue for "Inside The Collector".There's also a nearly complete score for Star Trek Nemesis. I say nearly complete because 2 cues are missing from it.That's the only complete and expanded scores from the movies that exist on the net. No others unfortunately have been leaked. The only ones that are have sound effects and some times dialogue. I for one hate that and defintiely do not choose to have them..
John Crichton 4
There's also a nearly complete score for Star Trek Nemesis. Â I say nearly complete because 2 cues are missing from it.I thought that the only missing cue was the film version of Shinzon telling his backstory. What other one is there?I should mention also that the sound quality of the Nemesis boot is incredible, nearly equal to an official release. Ollie 859
Yes it's interesting that most of the Goldsmith bootleg CDs have very good sound to them.

The two talk about trust and alliegence. It ends after Shinzon threatens Donatra saying that if she ever touches him again he'd kill her.The cue that is on the bootleg called "Shinzon and Donatra" actually starts after Donatra hears Shinzon grunting in pain with his condition starting to deteroriate(sp?) and ends with the now controlled B-4 accessing the Enterprise-E's data base.Yes definitely the Nemesis 2-CD set has incredible sound to it, so does the First Contact and Insurrection scores. Trent B 317
By the way Pieter, here are the track listings for the mentioned scores for what I have...For Nemesis the cues "We're Wasting Time" - the real one, and "The Corridor" those were tracked in the film so I added those too, to my set and they're exact duplicates from their film version cues if anything a bit better for the edits. Also I renamed couple of the cues to better conform with the film. For Star Trek TMP each cue is it's own seperate cue...nothing runs into each other and I've done my best to clean up the ones from the recording sessions....Star Trek The Motion PictureComplete Motion Picture ScoreMusic Composed and Conducted by Jerry GoldsmithDisc 101- Ilia's Theme (2:59)02- Main Title (1:35) - Original thearatical version 03- Klingon Battle (5:18)04- Total Logic (3:44)05- Floating Office (1:02)06- The Enterprise (5:56)07- Malfunction (1:24)08- Good-bye Klingon (0:32)09- Good-bye Epsilon 9 (1:08)10- Pre-Launch (0:24)11- Leaving Drydock (3:28)12- Stardate 7412.6 (0:17)13- Warp Point Eight (0:24)14- No Good-byes (0:51)15- Spock's Arrival (1:58)16- Stardate 7413.4 (0:35)17- Warp SevenDisc 201- Meet V'Ger (2:59)02- The Cloud (4:56)03- V'Ger Flyover (4:55)04- The Force Field (5:00) - The true film version cue05- Micro Exam (1:10)06- Stardate 7414.1 (0:36)07- Games (3:41)08- Thruster Suit (1:49)09- Spock Walk (4:15)10- System Inoperative (1:51)11- Hidden Information (3:51)12- Inner Workings (3:03) - Film Version13- Voyager 6! nightscape94 965
I have an extended Star Trek: TMP boot that has 43 tracks over 2 CDs that has artwork mentioning a fake label called "Andrese Filmabande". I don't know its origins.EDIT: Actually, now that I'm looking at it more closely, the track #s and titles don't match up. The artwork claims 43 tracks, but I have 47 files. They match up to track 35, but then it goes off. So I have no idea what I have! :? Tim

BLUMENKOHL 1,064
I've always wondered... would it help if Williams worked with Broughton more frequently? His soundtracks would sound a whole lot technically better than the last few, that's for sure. stewdog1 50
41- A New Ending - End Credits (6:06)42- A New Ending - End Credits (6:19) - Has different beginingHow many versions of the end credits are there? The one in the movie and the OST are different. Not just the beginning but also in the middle. The OST plays the Nemesis theme between the two statements of the TMP fanfare. The movie has either Lateral Run or Final Flight, I forget which. Because Rick Berman wanted an action piece instead of the slower Nemesis. Like anybody besides us stay and listen to the music anyway. So, is there more than two versions?
Ollie 859
The film version features tracked cues spliced into the beginning of the end credits as heard on the regular release because the end credits are longer due to the fact there are no opening titles (other than the title of the film) to the film. The beginning of the End Credits on the "Expanded" Nemesis have a stronger and longer statement of "Blue Skies". Â So, is there more than two versions? The one on the album opens up exactly how it is in the film. The "alternate" one opens up completely different even has a bit of a different pitch to it then the album version. As Mark said it does have a bit of a stronger and longer statement.Mark is right the actual End Credits cue in the film after the main theme from Trek the rest of the cue is just tracked music that was edited together pretty horribly. For me I perfer the album version of the "End Credits". stewdog1 50
For me I perfer the album version of the "End Credits".I prefer the OST End Credits as well. What I'm going to try and do is splice the Blue Skies from the "alternate" onto the OST and see what happens.
