well, yes actually .I've heard a concert arrangement of it on Frank Barter LSO compilation.I don't think Williams wrote it specifically.

Do you mean if there is a concert version aside from the "Excerpts from CE3K" that Williams put together himself and appears on various Boston Pops albums?

Yes, I have various BPO recordings of CE3K. What I mean is was that little strings melody ever recorded as a standalone cue? Was it fleshed out enough for a concert performance?

I've noticed King Mark made mention of a version.

Well, there is a performance on Erich Kunzel's "Films of Steven Spielberg" CD that starts at that section of music and plays through to the finale, basically skipping all of the atonal music. I think this was the 1975 concert version. And, the string theme has a few extra bars that were in the movie but removed by Williams for the updated concert version. But aside from that, it's basically the last half of the Pops version, and there isn't another version that I'm aware of. I can PM it to you if you would care to take a listen.

That theme in the cue I was talking about is an expansion on the one in the last minute of Barnstorming .Not exactly the same.

K.M.Who finally "placed" it
