Docteur Qui 1,544
From Russia With Love. The definitive Bond experience. It has the edge over Dr No for Barry's exceptional score, and the improved production values (not that they hinder the film too much).
Joni Wiljami 1,206
Don't watch any of these. Almost all of them are overrated films.Classics,phew.Including Overacting and terrible scores. And I'm serious.Overacting? Taxi Driver? You have a very corrupt, twisted idea of reality, hornist.I said almost. What I ment was that this list includes 99%only Hollywood films.Entertaining.Yes.But very mediocre stuff. And no overacting in Taxi Driver.Overrated it is. robthehand 3
I would like to recommend the whole Dollars trilogy (aka "The Man With No Name" trilogy), but if I have to pick one of them, I'd say: The Good the Bad and the Ugly. (The other two are A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More.)

Dean1700 4
The Battle of Britain (1969). Surely THE best aviation film ever made. And don't call me Shirley!
MrScratch 294
The Devil and Daniel Webster (aka All That Money Can Buy), an underrated masterpiece and Herrmann's lone Oscar winning score.
Sandor 797
Shit...if this isn't the funniest thread ever... I would find it 'funny' too if this thread's most active and vocal contributors had a sincere motive to HELP Vosk, to inspire him to see films he would normally not see. However, I get the nagging feeling that these people have no interest whatsoever to care about Vosk's cinematic horizons at all. The only goal of this thread is to show what kind of an idiot Vosk is (not in my mind) and how insanely cool and broad their own taste is. "We are so good and Vosk is so stupid". I find this all a little degrading to Vosk and if such a thread would have been raised "in my honor", I would have been a little insulted even. Again, the rules are the film must be pre-1980 and cannot have a score by John Williams and can't have already been recommended.I'll start with They Drive By Night.Neil
Sandor 797
Stop it Neil. It's not funny anymore. Remove the name Vosk and replace it to something less personal. It's a good thread to compile great movies for a new generation, but right now it's so overly targeted at a single person that it becomes degenerating.
