Bilbos theme in the trailer - AWESOME, there is hope for that theme. ??? This statement was in the teaser trailer for AUJ, and the theme didn't appear in the film in the end. Why does that mean there is hope for that theme? I prefer that version of the Misty Mountain theme to the film and soundtrack one, the strings and gongs give me chills. +1. There's something about that mix/orchestration that makes the theme sound so much more robust and satisfying than the version heard in Over Hill.You mean the nudge towards RCP style? Seriously though, I think it has something to do with the orchestration, how in the trailer, more bass instruments are used in unison, while on the OST, it has a very deep bass pulse that swallows some of the clarity.Plus, the drums are mixed differently, and also lower.
