standbyfax 0
I'm new, so I'm not quite sure what the age demographics are around here, but I can say that as a college student, many people my age don't think highly of him. I think it's partly their tastes in movies (don't get me started on this) and also they can't get over him being the teen heartthrob in Titanic. I agree with many of you here -- he's a very fine actor. It's too bad people my age don't see that.
Sergeant 1,093
I have to confess , I love Him.
robthehand 3
He was OK in things like Titanic, but his work with Scorsese shows that he can actually act too.I think he's a pretty good actor, and I can see him becoming a very good one.
Sergeant 1,093
If one is a teenagers secret daydream , it's difficult to take him as a seriousactor. In films like Gilbert Grape or Catch Me if You Can he has shown , what a great potentialhe has.

Alejandro 5
I think Leo carried The Departed. It was a very, very good film. DiCaprio did an excellent job.
Red 73
Leo was good in Gangs of New York but he was blown away by Daniel Day-Lewis.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,251
Leo was invisible any time Daniel Day-Lewis was on screen. He was even invisible when anyone in the film talked about Daniel Day-Lewis' character.
Ollie 859
Maybe he should star in a remake of The Invisible Man with Daniel-Day Lewis.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,251
Daniel Day-Lewis would be better in being invisible without even trying.

tpigeon 3
I actually just watched Gangs of New York again last night (well, half of it), and I think it's full of very good performances, including DiCaprio. But Steef's right: that is Day-Lewis's movie. What a brilliant performance.Ted
Morlock 9
I love GoNY, but I can't find anything particularly impressive about Leo's performance. I do think that he gave a great, great performance in The Aviator, though.
