robthehand 3
For me there are two Williams scores that really stand out as a brilliant blend of music, visuals and other sounds. This isnt' asking for your favourite Williams score, more like which compliments its film the most?I can't choose between The Fury and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. In each case, when I watch the movie, I just can't separate the music from the film in my mind, and I'd say that's a great compliment to the composer.Other examples, for me, are Memoirs of a Geisha and JFK. robthehand 3
Have you seen John Goldfarb? The first 30 minutes, yes.But I was just using it as an example - it just seems a little strange to suggest that all his scores (with the exception of SPR and AOTC) are equally effective. But maybe that's just me.

Mr. Breathmask 480
My choice:The Empire Srikes Back.Perfection.How come about half an hour of score ended up on the cutting room floor then?- Marc, who thinks ESB was poorly spotted and rightfully cut down. Mr. Breathmask 480
It's so obvious there's hardly any point in saying I agree. Same with CE3K.

Mr. Breathmask 480
The music in the film? Yes.The full score? Not as much. It's still my all-time favorite, though.
