robthehand 3
Some of you probably noticed that Intrada just released the score to The Hindenburg, by David Shire. Now, while it's a good score, that's hardly the most exciting news - the best bit is that it's a Universal film - could this mean that they're open for business, as far as score releases go?This could be very important, as far as upcoming JW releases go. Morlock 9
DOn't get all excited- it's a release of the MCA LP, exactly as it was on ther LP. 35 minutes, no extra features. This is not a breakthrough.
Ollie 859
Don't get too excited, it's just a release of the original LP with no additional tracks. Although Doug Fake does mention it opens the doors for future products, so maybe there is hope.I'll be getting a copy.
robthehand 3
Oh well, it's better than nothing I guess.I was under the impression that they weren't even too keen on releasing score LP's on CD, unless it's something like E.T..But doesn't this mean we could maybe get something like the Dracula album re-issued? Ollie 859
According to Mr. Fake at Intrada, Williams does not want the score to Sugarland Express released.
robthehand 3
According to Mr. Fake at Intrada, Williams does not want the score to Sugarland Express released.I wonder why that is. Why on earth would he be happy for John Goldfarb and The Ghostbreaker to be released, but not the first score from one of the most famous and successful director-composer collaborations of all time? Ollie 859
I can't remember why, it's on this board and Intrada's somewhere. Considering this is the first score Williams did for Spielberg you would expect it to be available, but it's also a Universal film.
