AI 0
Am I the only the one who thinks Williams could work his magic on this?

JoeinAR 1,949
I agree, with AI, Final Destination would be my choice reluctantly because it has a very good score by Shirley Jackson, and its the only decent film of the three mention. Saw was a piece of garbage, and Hostel isn't even that good.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
John Williams would sooner score hard core porn then something like hostel.
publicist 4,643
Would that sound like something out of 'War of the Worlds' or 'Minority Report'?This messageboard would be practically brimming with delight....
Luke Skywalker 1,792
As long as he was scoring SOMETHING...But its not a kind of film i like at all...But hey Williams did E.T., and i cannot find a scarier film in my childhood
Ollie 1,059
I think Williams could spend his time working on something much more interesting than scoring the steady run of non-scary films that are coming out of Hollywood on an assembly line. robthehand 3
I don't care what he scores, as long as the music's good.
Red 75
John Williams would sooner score hard core porn then something like hostel.Hostel is hard core porn.Rabbit--who does not want JW to score any of those "horror" (a term used lightly for those selections) movies. JoeinAR 1,949
John has never truly done a real outright horror film, and I'd love him too.and please don't bring up Dracula, because its not even close, though a very good score.or the fury which isn't a horror score either. crocodile 7,984
Heartbeeps is a horror though John Williams would sooner score hard core porn then something like hostel. And we'd all have to watch these things to appreciate his efforts. But interesting concept nontheless.Karol

Saw was a piece of garbage, and Hostel isn't even that good.Yeah Shirley Jacksons (!) score is good for all the series. Have you seen FD 1 2 AND 3 Joe? Its a given that Williams would score the sweep, not just the first one. I think Williams could do wonders with Hostel. It's not beneath him. He would get his sharp pencils out, and proceed to create some of the most scary, avant-garde music you have ever heard. That's just how Williams do. JoeinAR 1,949
I've seen FD 1 & 2, and not 3.I love the opening of FD 1 & 2 both, each are at the top of that type of filmmaking, despite the overall genre, the plane crash is just spectacular, but he log truck accident it just scary as hell, I drive were there are many log trucks and I just try to avoid them after FD2
Sandor 796
Joe, the opening of FD 3 (a rollercoaster accident) is quite impressive and scary as well. Best part of the film (by far!).

Chris ChrusherComix 46
The Fury, Dracula, and Images are three examples why he should do more dramas with an element of horror. If Eric Lustbader's Nicholas Linnear novels ever get made into movies, I WISH he'd do them. Likely he won't.

An then I didn't want to leave Roald hanging out three sheets to the wind, so I scooped him up and tucked him in to the umbrella of approval also.
