I saw a thread at FSM that mentioned a possible April release from them and went to the link provided.

Scroll down to the Korngold blog. If true this would be fantastic. Although the resemblence is very small to my ears, most people would tell you Williams drew inspiration from Korngold's theme for Star Wars.

Interesting. Weren't most of Warner's archival tapes destroyed in 1970, the few surviving elements showing up in releases such as this?

True or not, at least we have Gerhardt's very robust re-recording. I only fault its marginal incompleteness and absence of choir ("I am the captain of my own soul") in the finale.

Only a small resemblence to Star Wars? For anyone who hasn't heard it, listen to the first sample on this page, particularly at the 0:11 point.

Not to take anything away from Star Wars, it's a brilliant score, but the theme isn't Mr. Williams' most original composition. :)

I may well pick it up, if it is released.

There are rumors that Intrada's next Excalibur Edition might be something by Rozsa. They will anounce it tonite, so who knows.

I'm sure it will appear one of these days or a re-recording will take place.
