David Coscina 3
Williams' score for The Accidental Tourist is still amazing almost 20 years later. I watched this gem from 1988 on DVD tonight and couldn't believe how great the score was. The final scene with the close-up on Macon Leary (Williams Hurt) with Williams' soaring music is probably my favorite all-time movie moment. It's the perfect symbiosis of visual and music. Just great. The film has aged well too in my opinion.

The film has a soft spot in me too (I've purchased the DVD recently), a great example of fine writing, directing and acting.Oh, also the "End Credits" cue is one of Williams' best, IMHO. An almost virtuosic variation on the main themes.

King Mark 2,924
Still the only official Williams c.d. I don't have.I bought it in the early 90's and returned it because I thought it was boring.Of course I have a cdr.I like it better than I used to. King Mark 2,924
I was strapped for cash.I also bought ToD and Spacecamp for about 50$ each and Accidental Tourist busted my budget that month

Sergeant 1,093
The Accidental Tourist is one of those scores that after awhile you listen to it and feellike "what a lovely score , why don't I listen to it more often!"That same thing happens to me with 80 % of williams' scores.lThey sure ages well , the intrinsic mark of proficiency.
