Remembrances is kind of nice, but otherwise.... this. I don't even particularly like the main theme.

 

It's a score for such a sensitive and solemn subject matter, which inevitably attracts praise for how it handles it. I haven't seen the film, and I'm sure it works as well as a score could in context, but as a listening experience on album, it's depressing, and just musically not very interesting to me.

For the record, I wasn't co-signing with hornist's statement!  But I do think it's a movie that literally everyone should watch once.  *Especially* fans of JW, even if you haven't connected with the OST as of yet!
