I should add that the director also directed Moana (which I liked but didn't love, score wise) which is probably where MM getting the job came from, but it bodes pretty well. thestat 348 Posted June 7, 2022 Share Posted June 7, 2022 Love the love for Mancina - Speed 2 remains the only fully orchestral realisation of the RCP sound. And it is glorious. The same stuff sounds terrible when someone tries to do The Rock with a full orchestra. Mancina's stuff was composed for a full orchestra in the first place, hence, it plays around with instrumentation (ie, it was conceived as an orchestral score with instrumental parts for each section of the orchestra).
