I like the Towering Inferno album cover but can't seem to find a pic of it..

I like that overly stylized statue-like trilogy cover.

Is that the original, unexpanded release?

I have no idea, is there a difference? I got rid of the original when the expanded version was released.

The expanded version has the "Composed and Conducted by Jerry Goldsmith" at the bottom, in blue. That's the only difference, I think.

Order of Phoenix Special Edition

Jaws 25th anniversary

Jurassic Park

A.I. Artificial Intelligence

E.T. 20th Anniversary

Worst:

Phantom Menace Ultimate Edition

Never the one to answer the question exactly as it's stated...I have a few favorites....they are:

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial 20th Anniversary Edition

Angela's Ashes (it's the picture on all the posters and DVD/VHS releases also...I like this because it conveys the feeling of poverty and sadness that the movie speaks of..not exactly the "happiest" picture, I'll admit!)

Amistad

Simon Birch (I know...probably didn't expect that one....it is one of my favorite movies)

It's indeed difficult to pick fav covers without being influenced by the album content

I love it when a cd is released with a nice cover. In general I tend to like Sony's covers, which have often nicely balanced color lay-outs and a little artistic designs. I especially like the out-of-focus photo parts, accents in gold color and multiple layering. Also I prefer covers without images of people.

Great minimalistic design... the dark red silverfoil rose is kinda hard to see here, but makes the cover look really special

Oh WOW! Can't believe I forgot that, excellent pick!

Vangelis' Blade Runner cover is one of the best. It captures the feeling of the film very well. I must mention the worst cover ever...

Yes Hook is definatly one, But it's a close tie for me which hook artwork i like better because the orginal artwork showing Capt. Hook looks so evil and cool and the one with the Hook is awesome too! So i put in Both

Really? I Never really liked that one.

I thought it was cool you know with the Vader and The Emperor on it, luke too. I hate the Green Character Prince Xizor though but its good on the cover, its not better than the ESB Art though.

I generally have a hard time stomaching soundtrack album covers.

They tend to look like over-stated ads for their respective films (which is obviously understandable, but distracting nonetheless).

I think album covers in general have a tendency to be a bit "loud".

A label that has very successfully achieved a sense of aesthetic direction that feels musical, is ECM.

Their understated CD's signal quality, finesse and thoughtfulness.

However, "Hook" and "Munich" are quite a lot nicer than most.

Good God. I thought that was a lame photo shop job, but I followed the link, and it's actually real!

I wonder if it's actually worse that the music . . .

I will post the soundtrack images I like in no particular order. Here they are:(Click Links)

Insurrection

Search for Spock

Undiscovered Country

Raiders

Close Encounters

Temple of Doom

Last Crusade

Prisoner of Azkaban

There are probably more, but it would go on forever I think.
