ChuckM 1
We all know about the DVD ripping stuff, but it's a little complicated and tedious, and sometimes we just want to sit down and listen to it. Well, I discovered a much easier way. Play the DVD on your computer, and use either headphones or external speakers that use the same headphone jack. BUT, pull the plug for the headphone out just a tiny bit. (you should feel it sort of snap in place part way, although you will probably have to wiggle it a little to get it just right.)And that's it. Separated soundtrack. I just figured this out on accident one day. I was watching a movie, and realized that I couldn't hear any speaking. I have not tried this yet on another computer, or with different earphones, but I would assume that it would work with any.(BTW, I don't think this has been mentioned here before, but if it has, sorry)Let me know if this works for you too. Henry B 49
That would appear to be cutting your connection to the center and possibly side channels. Definitely not reliable, though it might work if you need a quick fix.
GoodMusician 53
Have done that with cd's before too... I was listening to AI, but coudln't hear Lara Fabian singing... when I touched the cord, it went back in and I could...so yea, it's cutting out certain channels... fun though lol
Datameister 1,394
That makes sense for DVDs, but for CDs...? That shouldn't work...Anyway, I've wondered about this before myself.
