Most media players should be able to tell you how many days or at least how many hours of music you have. So? What is it? I'm at a little over 15 days. :D

Soundtracks and all other albums together I have 58 days of music. Film and video game soundtracks make up 27 days.

Though subtract a couple of days from the total due to a massive sound FX library I also have.

I've been collecting CD's and all sorts of music since....1992.

On Itunes:

5609 items, 13.9 days, 20.82 GB

And just for fun:

John Williams only:

1413 items, 3.3 days, 5.34 GB

James Horner only:

399 items, 1.2 days, 1.86 GB

Alan Silvestri only:

151 items, 6.7 hours, 402.8 MB

Danny Elfman only:

116 items, 5.4 hours, 308.4 MB

How about you?

The top 5:

Jerry Goldsmith - "Ruler of the Queens Navy!" 3,6 days, 8,5 GB

Alan Silvestri - 2 days, 5.85 GB

David Newman - 1.6 days, 4.39 GB

Elmer Bernstein - 1.4 days, 3.46 GB

James Horner - 1.2 days, 2.76 GB

John Williams - 0.7 days, 1,42 GB

However, it should be more as i only store files of vulnerable cd-r copies, sold-out limited editions or oop CDs and thus i dont have everything by these gentlemen up on itunes. Thats also the reason why i have less than a day of williams music, there are a lot less cd-r releases and lots of official releases which sit on my shelve.

Everything combined I should need more than 25 days at the very least to listen to all of my scores.

80 GBs for soundtracks

80 GBs for classical music

10 GBs of jazz

and something like 5 GBs for other genres

That's what I have on my computer. Not sure how many days those make, but it's likely months.

I'd say it's about 40% film/video game scores...50% "classical" (ranging from the sixteenth to twentieth century)

Such skewed priorities! :D

I have copied roughly half of my collection onto i-tunes and so far I'm up to 63.9 days, 21,283 tracks, 84.22GB. I have 9.5 days of Bach! Most of my Williams collection is in England at the moment, but over in the States (and therefore on i-tunes) I have just 1.8 days. I have probably the best part of a hundred or so Williams CDs back in England that haven't made it over yet. I'm guessing my total Williams will be around 4.5 days.

Haha, it wasn't like that a month ago. But the network at my college has a VAST amount of classical music on it and I thought it would be good, considering I'm a music student and all!

1.6 days Rock/Pop/etc.

20.5 hours Classical/Concert

13.9 hours Disney (scores, park music, etc)

The feeling is rather mutual. But then again, in my completely naive and beginner days, I thought having 2 CD-rs of music was an achievement :P
