indy4 152 Posted August 19, 2007 Share Posted August 19, 2007 Which is better, Jaws or Jaws 2? I personally prefer Jaws 2 over Jaws. While Jaws has the shark theme, most of it seems to be dead music. Jaws 2 is alive with breathtaking action pieces, beautiful harp solos, and exhilirating, fun pieces. This is my first poll, so if something goes horribly wrong, I'm sorry. The repetative statements of the shark theme in the first half do start to wear a bit thin, but the change in tone to the pirate music takes care of that problem. I have a Collector's Edition. I once counted the number of cues I really enjoy on that album and found out I like only the half of it. The seafaring music is what makes each score for me, and I just love tracks like "Out to Sea," "Sea Attack Number One," and "One Barrel Chase" from Jaws, and "The Catamaran Race," "The Open Sea," and "End Titles/End Cast" from the sequel.
