John Crichton 4
We've done the favorite TV shows of all time to death, but other than the Heroes, Lost, Who and occasional Galactica threads we haven't had too much discussion of what new stuff everyone's watching right now. The rule is simple, discussion in this thread is limited to those shows still in production (and preferably about shows other than the ones with dedicated threads). My current favorites (in order of preference):Doctor WhoBattlestar GalacticaSurvivorI occassionaly check in to Lost, and I've always been a casual 24 fan (Season 5 rocked, Season 6 was shite). But those are pretty much the only ones for me right now.

Vaderbait1 1
The Office is my favorite one still being produced. My favorite of all time is the original Twilight Zone, and the original Star Trek.Lost is undoubtedly the best thing on TV...in my mind. But then I like the new show Back to You (though there's only been on episode).I enjoyed the few parts of My Name Is Earl Season 1, but never seem to be around when it's on TV. SomeNewGuy 0
Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Scrubs, Family Guy, Futurama (back soon!), The Simpsons, South Park... that's about it. The Office (US) is almost at the top of my Netflix queue, followed by the UK version. From the little I've seen of both, I think I'll like them quite a bit. Marian Schedenig 8,172
The latest thing I've been watching that's at least somewhat close to being in production is Alias - just finished the final season last weekend. Is Prison Break still on? I stopped watching that somewhere after the beginning of S2. I've also caught up with 24, but don't expect too much from it - it's been going downhill since the beginning of S2.The two shows I'm really watching these days are Lost and Heroes... Marian Schedenig 8,172
No. It starts out on the rather loose side, like the previous seasons, but picks up near the middle. There are a few buildups near the end that don't seem to go anywhere in particular, and parts of the finale do feel a bit anticlimactic. They're still good though. My favourite parts remain the second halves of S2 and S4, I think, but it's worth watching to the end.Oh, and Giacchino does some particularly neat things in S5. Overall, I think Alias is his best work to date. I just love that Sloane theme.

Richard Penna 3,669
My absolute favourite at the moment is the US version of The Office. Slowly working my way through various episodes of seasons 2 and 3, but I'll probably end up just following from s4 now. I nearly cried with muffled laughter as Andy's phone kept playing that ridiculous piece from inside the ceiling Also:24 (although S6 wasn't very good at all, the ending sucked and they'd better come up with gold for season 7)LostPrison Break - 3rd season has got off to a great start.House (best of them all when 24 has its weaker episodes)The SimpsonsFamily Guy
Docteur Qui 1,544
Doctor Who (the revived Davies version) by a long shot. It can do everything in one season what an entire series of Star Trek struggled to do, and does it stylishly, wittily and with some truly lovable characters. Also like some LOST and Heroes if I get time to watch them. Unlike the Doctor, who I make time for.Adding to the ALIAS discussion from before, I found the fifth season to be one of the stronger ones. It was leaner and meaner with some great twists. From the 100th episode ("There's Only One Sydney Bristow") to the finale was some of the most riveting telly I've ever seen. And Giacchino/Tilton's music was fantastic. Particularly loved the development of the Rambaldi theme in the final episode. While the events of that episode weren't the most imaginative, it was always about the characters anyway. Jack's scenes were particularly brilliant.

Season 2 in particular is terrific...it's like a work of art, the way the storylines arc throughout the season, amidst all the hilariously mundane office situations, and finally culminate in the amazing season finale "Casino Night," which is possibly the show's best episode and definitely among the best season finales I've ever seen.Ray Barnsbury

It's kinda like Bond crossed with Mission Impossible crossed with Dan Brown, in a way, and with a touch of Lost. Totally over the top and rather cliched, but done in a way that makes you just accept and enjoy what's going on. Top-notch production quality, excellent music... and Ron Rifkin just rocks.
