Let's get the usual suspects out of the way:

Back To The Future, Alien, Indiana Jones films and Spartacus.

Will John Williams be featured? It's been awhile since they've released a Williams score.

Whatever they release I'm sure there will be one or two worth buying, there always is.

I looked into the future, and they will release the Complete Edition of PoA!

I thought it strange, since I had expected them to release SS first, but . . . whatever. PoA is a better score anyway!

It will be:

Private Benjamin (Bill Conti)

Beyond Evil (Pino Donaggio)

The Blue Angel (Hugo Friedhoffer)

Grand Canyon (James Newton Howard)

That sounds like a strangely believable guess.

And let's not forget, this time a couple of months ago, Monsignor would have been high on many wishlists. No matter what people say, soundtrack collectors are an extremely spoiled demographic.

Wow I agree with Morlock, Steef's guess is almost believable, I'd get the Friedhoffer. Might get to save some cash if those are the scores. :D

As far as certain other scores, The Indiana Jones scores would probably be a full release by a major label.

Don't be suprised to see Back To The Future come from Intrada now that they seem to have their foot in Amblin and Universal's door. Of course the original album from the film is still in print so that might hold it up.

Based on some hints given by Ford over at FSM I wouldn't be suprised if Prometheus or LaLaLand release Family Plot.

Herrmann's score to THE BIRDS

It won't be the same if Varese don't maintain their hard-on for another Bill Conti release!

Actually Family Plot could be possible if it's a Williams release. There isn't that much left of his work that needs to be released. His jazzy days seem more FSM than Varese, so some of his early films in the 70's seem likely for a Varese JW release.

I'm sure that if any record company got the rights, they would release it as soon as possible. I emailed several companies, asking them to release it. THe ones that replied all said that they wanted to, but didn't have the rights.

It's a load of old balls. A legitimate complete score to the likes of POWDER, ALIEN deserves it more. Next thing you'll be saying MOM AND DAD SAVE THE WORLD needs a deluxe edition!!

Who would be waiting for these ones? Bill Conti is one of the most overrated composers in the business anyway.

Of course, Thaxton dropping hints might just delay the whole project for a year or two again...

Has dropping hints had an effect on the delay of a previous release perhaps? Or have I misunderstood you?

Ah man, I guess nobody's going to tell me...

While Family Plot is #1 on my list anytime, anywhere, I wouldn't mind having any of these:

- complete ToD

- complete LC

- complete PoA

- complete SS

- complete AotC

- complete RotS

- complete Polar Express

the latter seems the most possible, as it would be nearer to Christmas. However, it was also composed very recently, so maybe not.

Well, the track titles of the Family Plot boot seems like someone archiving the stuff for a soundtrack release, and not the usual bootleg track titles.

For Ford's hint you'll have to go search over at FSM. And don't get too excited because there was no mention of Family Plot. It just something that was posted and I thought Family Plot might fit the criteria.

As for your other choices I seriously doubt any of those will be released by Varese's CD club.

One of the main reason is that the original albums are still in print.

The IJ & Star Wars films are probably going to receive a major release and not be limited whenever that time comes. The same would probably apply to HP.

The only one that could see a special release is Polar Express but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.

There's nothing wrong with wishing but don't set yourself up for a major disappointment.
