In another sequence he re-uses music from "The Land Before Time".

He also re-uses music from "Project X" which he then later re-used in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" where he also re-used material from "Willow, Aliens, Project X and Batteries Not Included" as well as using Nino Rota's "Theme from Amarcord" Dave Grusin's music from "The Goonies" Sections of Danny Elfman's theme from "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" to name a mere few, without their permission. He was successfully sued by Rota's estate for his blatant plagiarising of his "Theme from Amarcord" forcing Disney to add a credit for Rota onto the end titles. That being the major reason he wasn't asked back to score the sequel.

Trust me, When it comes to Horner I can tell you what he has re-used, where he used it, how many times... ANYTHING.

It took you this long to realize that?

Cocoon is a superior film and score compared to Batteries.

I think Coccon is one of Horner's most underated scores.

Cocoon is THE score that made me really notice Horner.I bought a cassette and when it didn't play anymore I couldn't find the c.d.! I looked for so long...thank god it was eventually re-released.

Still,it's the rest of the score and not the jazz theme part I like.
