I haven't even heard it yet, but judging by FOTR and TTT, this one easily goes to ROTK.

2nd place possibly would be Alien, though we shouldn't forget that 2001 (which I don't have yet) is certainly a milestone release as well.

Intersting. How is Magic Fire? Most importantly, how different is it from the original Wagner works? Any seriously original Korngold in there?

The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King - The Complete Recordings

It's an excellent score, one of the best in the last few years, but I still find them overrated. However, a score of this type being the first to ever earn a complete recordings release just can't be beaten by anything else.
