Koray Savas 2,256 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 There was a thread once but I think that dealt with posters that copy each other. This one is for everything posters. Post your favorites, or new posters for upcoming films.
Trent Hoyt 13 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 For some reason I've had this on my wall since the movie came out.
John Crichton 4 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 This one was on my wall in college quite a while before and after the movie came out:This is still on my wall now:
indy4 160 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 And btw this should probably be in the General Discussion topic.
Marian Schedenig 10,976 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 These are the LOTR posters I want:Haven't been able to find them for a decent price (sans horrid shipping costs) though.
John Crichton 4 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Yeah, the Argonath FotR poster was great too. I've never seen that second one, though.
King Mark 3,898 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 This RotK poster is pretty neat.I have it + the river one of FotR and the tower one from TTT on a wall side by sideI only like one Harry Potter poster:I have this E.T. poster:But I wish I could find this one:and another classic:
indy4 160 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 And this is a DVD cover, not a poster, but it's still great.
John Crichton 4 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I missed that one too, that's nice. I like those types of posters so much more than just those collages of the actor's faces.John- who remembers seeing the Orthanc poster in KM's lightsaber pic
Trent Hoyt 13 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 This might be my favorite poster of all time. I just love the artwork, how it fades up to Han and Leia, perfect.
indy4 160 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Trentman's and one of KM's posters both showed up saying "IMPA AWARDS.COM."
Marian Schedenig 10,976 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Half the images in this thread don't show up.Yeah, the Argonath FotR poster was great too. I've never seen that second one, though. It's a Newline store exclusive I think. The small print is then Gandalf/Frodo Moria dialogue.I've not liked pretty much most of the other LOTR covers. They're either just random scenes from the movie not fit for posters, or ultra-floating heads. These are what I have on my walls:(I just hope these do show up)
John Crichton 4 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I've not liked pretty much most of the other LOTR covers. They're either just random scenes from the movie not fit for posters, or ultra-floating heads.Yeah, that's why I went for the Alan Lee drawing covers for my new LotR copies rather than ones with pics from the movies.
SomeNewGuy 0 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I'm genuinely shocked that I don't see the ST:TMP poster in here yet.
Ollie 1,357 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I was waiting for Neil to do the honor.I wish CM would have used that picture for the DVD cover.
Romão 2,441 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Not a particularly big fan of the movie, but I love the poster Naïve Old Fart 1
Mr. Breathmask 623 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Perhaps someone should point out that IMPAwards.com doesn't allow hotlinking...
JoeinAR 1,955 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 my favorite movie poster is probably Morlock, he and I don't always agree but he posts about movies all the time and his writing style is smooth and easy to read.
FBC Director 10,390 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Perhaps someone should point out that IMPAwards.com doesn't allow hotlinking...Funny, it did when I first posted it. I'll find another one.But for now...
Mr. Breathmask 623 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Perhaps someone should point out that IMPAwards.com doesn't allow hotlinking...Funny, it did when I first posted it. That's because the image is still in your cache. It'll eventually disappear for you too.

Elmo Lewis 7 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 That last poster? You have to be kidding.
Marian Schedenig 10,976 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 First one is cool. Second one... isn't.
John Crichton 4 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I agree, the Sirius one is great. I had forgotten all about it actually. But the second is just another "stick the actor's faces in where they'll fit" collage. It is the best of the 3 Williams CD covers, though.
indy4 160 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I like them both. The simplicity of the second is great.
Ray Barnsbury 8 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I like them both. The simplicity of the second is great.Yeah, that's why I like it too. It's better than a busy, photoshopped "significant elements of the film" poster. I like the color (or lack thereof) of it too. It's appropriately different from the previous posters, just as the film was a welcome departure from the Columbus films.
FBC Director 10,390 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I've always liked the second poster too. It captures the tone of the film perfectly without overloading it.
Red 75 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 As far as Harry Potter posters go, this is my favorite: Edit: Because Impawards suck.
Koray Savas 2,256 Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 IMP Awards don't show up here! Stop using that site.
