Remembering Jerry

Miguel Andrade

Recommended Posts

Was he still alive, Jerry Goldsmith would have turned 79 today.

A composer that always experimented with new trends, but remained true to himself, he is surelly missed by all that enjoy good music.

In remembering this extraordinary composer, I'll now play a few of his themes and score, starting with a favorite of mine, The Russia House.

The Russia House is one of my favourite Goldsmith's scores and the theme alone is terrific. I definitelly shall play it today.

I'll listen to some JNH and Cliff Eidelman today....one he inspired, the other he held in high esteem.

Laura Dern is a hottie

That's the first time that's been said in this universe.

Oh?

Listening to Fierce Creatures now. A seriously underrated (or at least under-mentioned) gem of a score.

No doubt I'll be listening to Star Trek - The Motion Picture today at some point in honor of Jerry.

Neil

The complete score, I hope? I am actually listening to that right now as I type this post.

We miss you Jerry, your legacy will always continue through us film score fans.
