Why are people still buying this rubbish?

You'd think that with the legit release of the complete score these sales wouldn't fly anymore. Apparently not everyone knows such an even took place. Although anyone in the score community who doesn't yet know must be blind and deaf.

Many Ebayers don't seem to do any research before picking certain things up. I paid $30+ for Goldsmith's A Patch of Blue, when it was readily available by Intrada for your average SPR. Learnt my lesson the hard way.

Intrada lets you pay in Saving Private Ryan's?

That was actually part of a big scam, I never got it. Lost $128. A whole lot of soundtrack collectors got stung on that one. I got it a couple of weeks later off Intrada.

Over five years of being corrected by Neil, yet I am still a paragon of inexactness. Damn.

Unfortunately there are still people who have no idea that places like Intrada, Varese or FSM exist. Someone throws an official looking CD up there with the right wording and an unassuming bidder wouldn't know the difference.

Heck I've seen the official Intrada release being auctioned with a starting bid of $59.95.

Just watch when Varese announces their club releases Monday, someone will have the 3000 copies listed $20.00 to $30.00 higher than they are at Varese, even while they are still in print.

The exchange rate must be awful.

I bought Cutthroat Island 2 CD set for 50 bucks on Amazon, before being notified (by none other than Morlock) that it was availible on Varese Sarabande.com for 25.
