The Custom Covers Thread

What happened, is that I used a font creator program to scan in images of the various versions of the main titles (the in film versions and the main trilogy versions etc.) and with all the business of removing the Hobbit Logo, changing the color, re-adding the top and bottom text, and adding the individual film titles, I forgot to add the THE!

Two things to point out:

1. The covers for 1-6, 9-10 have "Special Limited Edition" on the left and "Complete Motion Picture Score" on the right, while 7-8 have that reversed

2. All covers mention that they are limited, however scores 2-6 are NOT limited*, only 1,7-10 are limited

They all look great though :)

*The original LLL version of 5 was limited, but the current pressing of 5 on Intrada is not.

It's not like I did that by accident though ;) As you can clearly see, the artworks demand the switches for these, as the compositions are now perfectly balanced without the artwork overlapping the text. Even more: An element of each artwork is now positioned right between the two pieces of text on each cover (Khan's head, the Enterprise's engine, the Klingon forehead wrinkle, Kirk's forehead, the Borg queen, that swoosh arc, Shinzon's head) - well, except for I, IV and V, as those use symmetric artworks.

As for the "limited" thing... ah well, I like them more in line with each other.

Here's some custom artwork I did for the Deluxe Edition of Star Trek 2009.

I didn't realize until the next day that I typoed a word on the back and forgot to highlight a letter for a track (You Snowin', Me?) in blue.

No unfortunately not, but I really would have liked to see them as well.

Anyhow, here's something I made.

I love creating these 3D mockups, you can be so creative with full CD or Vinyl sets. I sometimes only would wish, somebody would print, fold and glue them together for real...

Did anyone ever make custom covers for all existing Star Wars soundtracks in the same style?

Including Rogue One and assorted games and such?

Or how about covers for the new Star Trek films that fit with the soundtracks that have been released these past years?

I initially had it as a dark grey like in the posters, but that just seemed a little drab. But I think you're right. The yellow is a bit incongruous. Thanks for the input.

Edit: Yeah, that does look better. Thanks, bud.
