The Custom Covers Thread

Hey, I have a request. Maybe trivial, maybe not. Could anyone make a set of Bond covers that is just the logos for each film? Probably from the type that's on the posters. I think until Goldeneye the film logos int the film were pretty stark, IIRC.

Not to editorialize, but you posted a link to drawing of Indy escaping the Hovitos. I couldn't help but think that would make a better cover (or at least an alternate) for Raiders.

Everything looks great!

updating my winter music playlist and was wondering if someone could do artwork for The Book Thief using poster? Or just something different from the album cover?

Thanks. I wanted a cover that looked the way Williams's music felt. Vibrant, colorful, dramatic, passionate. Is it a bit "flag wave-y"? Absolutely. :D. The film isn't really subtle. Its a grand ole' popcorn blockbuster.

All of you do such amazing work. I posted this on FSM, but I’ll post here too.  If anyone wants a fun challenge, I’d like to humbly request a custom cover for Message From Space by Ken Ichiro Morioka & Shunsuke Kikuchi.

That's some terrific old school movie poster art. Things just looked better back then! ("Those were the days... Kids these days... blah blah blah" ;) )

It’s really something. It’s not fully painted. You’ve got illustrated elements, but then there’s cut and pasted photo elements of the people zapping each other.  Yeah, they don’t make them like that anymore.

Lemme take a crack at it.

I’m grateful, truly. If you are able to keep the “Help Us”’graphic, even better.

YES!  They're both superb!  Exactly the composition I was thinking.  The ship and hands moved down seamlessly.   That was fast!?? Even the fold lines are gone!  Thank you so much WampaRat!  :worship:

I suppose in this case it would be Return of the Jedi ripping off Message from Space! (Terrible movie but I treasured the space ship model kits I had from the film. )

Past tense, treasured.  Where are they now?  Send them to meeeee!

I didn't see Message From Space growing up in the dawn of the Star Wars era, but omigosh, I would've loved it.  As it is, I only saw it first a few years ago, and I absolutely adore it.  Impossible to not be charmed by the silly joy of it all and the garish costumes and production design.  Everyone in the movie is hyped up on cocaine or something, and it's infectious.

There are a few things that I treasured when I was 11 that I still have*. But most of those things I do not. My Message from Space models (and my Black Hole Cygnus model!) fall into that second category. :)

* Are there? I have copies of many of those things...
