"Next Wednesday (5/30/2008), sometime between Noon and 1:00pm(Pacific Time), Buysoundtrax will be announcing our next TWO RELEASES.

One is a remake of a classic film with a lovely Orchestral by a composer who has never had a limited edition CD release of one of his scores.

The other is a SCI FI effort form the 1980's that has been out of print for far too long and gets a really cool expanded release.

Let the Guessing Begin!

Could the second possibly be SpaceCamp?

Well, Mark's an eminence on soundtrack releases, I would consider his opinion very trustworthy.

I'm 99.99% sure it won't be Spacecamp either.

Sorry to sound cynical, but I think it's fair to say it won't be anything worth listening to. There really aren't any good sci-fi films during the 1980s, especially ones with memorable scores, other than the obvious.

Back to the Future is a sci-fi movie!

:(

Back to the Future is also one of the obvious that I said to exclude. :P I would love for it to be Back to the Future, but it won't.

COMING SOON FROM BSX RECORDS

Next Wednesday (5/28/2008), sometime between Noon and 1:00 pm (Pacific Time),

Buysoundtrax will be announcing our next TWO RELEASES. One is a remake of a classic film with a lovely Orchestral by a composer who has never had a limited edition CD release of one of his scores.

The Hint: This film is a remake of a classic film from the 1960's that was remade in the 1980's and this score is from the THIRD version done in the 21st Century. The first 100 copies will be autographed by the composer

The second CD is a SCI FI effort from the 1980's that has been out of print for far too long and gets a really cool expanded release. The first 100 copies will be autographed by the composer

The Hint: It's not by Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, James Horner or John Barry. It's from the late 80's. Do we give you anymore clues? Nada..

Let the Guessing Begin!

Well, signed copies rules out Miles Goodman. (Jerry too, yet they still mention him.)

After a little research, my money's on Night of the Living Dead 3D for the first one.

EDIT: Wait, scratch that. The first remake was in 1990. Hmm...

But, outside of the main theme it's a quite overrated, I would say.

The Fly's only been made twice I believe.

How about Invasion of The Body Snatchers if it's a Sci-Fi film?

The original was 1956 and the remake was 1978, but great guess nonetheless...

Um no it's not Masters Of The Universe, considering LaLa Land is releasing Masters Of The Universe.

Whoops, sorry, I must've missed that. :sleepy: Do you maybe know when they're releasing it and will it be limited?

Not interested in these titles...I'll hang onto my money and see what La La Land and Intrada have to offer next week.

When does Varese release their next club selections?
