Many quotes have been popping up in my head,

during the Jungle chase Oxley saying "Henry Jones Jr." cracks me up along with also "I like Ike" and when Indy mentions "Colonel Dr. Spalko" and sounds like he's got something in his throat.

"You don't know him like I do!"

"I don't think they're here for the milkshakes."

"Damn, I thought that was closer!"

"Why the hell didn't you make him finish school?!"

"Jonesy!!!!!"

"Partime."

"They weren't you, honey!"

"Any last words, Dr. Jones?" -- "I like Ike." HAHAHAH

"Put your hands down, will ya, you're embarrassing us!"

"Russians!!!"

There are MANY great lines in KotCS.

I wasn't a big fan of "damn, I thought that was closer". I might be being pedantic, but the two guys in the truck just seemed to sit there patiently for him to finish, before being summarily ejected...

However:

"I don't think they're here for the milkshakes."

"Don't let the kid see Mum and Dad fight!"

Ditto the guy in the truck in Raiders, the two swordsman in ToD.....

Anyway, I like

"You're a teacher?"

"Part time"

Which comes after a great moment which hasnt been mentioned at all so far, the one where Indy blows into the other end of the blowpipe.

Of course, I also loved the really obvious..

"Those darts are poisoned!!"

"JONESYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!"

I cringed every time he said that. I wanted to break his nose too.

My favourite lines:

"From the way you're sinking your teeth into those vuvle-ewes, I'd say Eastern Ukraine". Best line in the movie. Must've been Koepp's, because I can't see Lucas being that witty.

I also laughed out loud when Marion said "Yes, dear" with that great grin on her face after driving off the cliff.

There were a ton of good ones in this movie. I don't think anyone's mentioned the "What's he going to do now?"/"I don't think he plans that far ahead." exchange. "I like Ike" got the best reaction from me my first viewing.

Also loved the banner "Better dead than Red" and various picket signs hitting the KGB's in the face.

"Looks like you brought a knife to a gunfight"

When Mutt gets scorpion stung "Big damn ones" Indy says "Good, it's the little ones you don't want to keep to yourself" also made me laugh when Mutt's hand is shaking as he combs his hair in the temple.

Okay, but that's just like the driver in "Desert Chase"; they smile at each other after avoiding an accident, then Indy punches him out. It's all part of genre conventions-- a bit like the way actors speak on stage: loud, over-pronouncing, in a tone which can therefore hardly be natural. It's part and parcel.

"You're a teacher?" "Part time."

Just as in Young Sherlock Holmes. :P

The cemetary scene is great.

"Any last words, Dr. Jones?" -- "I like Ike."

"They all had the same problem. [...] They weren't you."

Awwwww :P

"Say 'the rope'! Say 'Grab the rope'!" "Grab the rope!"

(Thanks to previous messages for reminding me of some lines ! )

"Dasvedanya, Dr. Jones."

"Don't be a child! Find something to fight with!"

"Oh, I believe sister. That's why I'm down here."

"I'm sorry, I meant drop dead comrade."

"I like Ike" is something that doesn't resonate at all in the dub, it just comes off as a pretentious stab at politics. And this is not Spielberg's fault.

I only realised it later what it was supposed to be.
