When my dad was stationed in Germany the theatre used to have a Saturday afternoon matinee, consisting of G or family rated films. After the previews they would run old serials. On a similar note, I read this somewhere else about Alfred Molina -In Raiders he gets impaled with spikes through the head.In Ladyhawke he gets implaled with spikes through the head from a wolf-trap.Nice !!
