I myself would not say that Conan the Barbarian is a better score than Star Wars, but I also wouldn't say it's any less good. I put them both in the "so good that there's no point in my trying to rank them" league.

Conan the Barbarian is easily one of my favorite movies, and still this statement confuses me.

Why do so many people -- yourself included, apparently -- feel inable to express a liking for something without simultaneously expressing a disliking for something else? Isn't it enough for you that Conan the Barbarian is a fairly well-liked and well-known movie? What do superhero movies have to do with it?

And while we're on the subject, the syuperhero trend has produced a fairly large number of good movies. Maybe only one or two great ones so far, but I think we're easily on the far side of it being "dreck."

I don't hate the film. I don't think the film is hated in general. And to compare it to Dark Knight or Iron Man is quite pointless. These films are what they are, it's not progressing conversation by comparing the films. I think this film is trash. Not a single real thought going through it's head, pure pulp spectacle. As that, it was fun and pretty forgettable.
