Joe, the blue box is really worth owning man. I don't listen to the others that much but just having the complete remastered version for Superman: The Movie makes the price tag worth it in my opinion.

$120 just for a remastered edition, no thanks. If it was released separately, I would buy it in an instant.

Hell, I think the Superman IV score is almost as good as Williams original!

Courage's re-workings of the Williams material (the Luthor theme in particular) is juts plain awesome.

So says from the peanut gallery who'd rather download a score then pay for it.

Yes, I'll download a score if I don't want to pay for it. So what? That doesn't change the fact that $120 is too much if I'm only interested in JW's Superman.

:) I don't download or trade in print scores. Now complete/expanded scores are a different story.

And how do you know what I trade exactly? Probably about 90% of the things I've traded for are bootlegs or OOP. If I want a CD, I'll buy it. I have thousands of dollars worth.

What kind of argument is this? Are you somehow better than me because you haven't traded for in-print scores? OH NO! I'm heart broken.

There is no more topic. We've all speculated to the max, there's nothing more to be discussed about Indy.

You obviously don't know where you are. :)

It was voted # 4 in ze best WWII movie marches on the Sturmfront White Nationalist Community forum.

Very popular around North Minehead during the National Bocialist era, IIRC. When that strange Mr. Hilter was running in the by-election.

Not much fun in Stalingrad. :)

Yes, this is cool, but why Raiders again?

I mean, this is the second Expanded release, why keeping ignoring Temple of Doom and Last Crusade? It makes me think we'll never get them, as I was hoping that with the release if the fourth movie something was going to change and that finally we could get some serious music release, but that's it.

I'll buy this, but it'll be the same story happened with the 1995 release. Same discussions about what new and about which and where are the few seconds missing, and why they still haven't make a REALLY complete 2 CDs release, once and for all.

So there seems to be still many unanswered questions, apart from what will go on the CDs!

Like:

1. To how many sets will the box set be limited (if it's limited at all)?

2. How much will the box set cost?

3. Will it be a new John Williams interview?

4. How many CDs will the box set have? 5, as in 1 for Raiders, 1 for Temple, 1 for Crusade, 1 for Crystal, and 1 Interview? Or will it have 8 CDs? Two for each of the original Indy scorses plus Crystal and Interview?

5. What kind of new info will the booklet contain?

These are some questions that are on my mind... can anyone answer them?

Ahemm... I just started a new job and have been out of Internet for 5 days.

And WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm fine if the box set are just 4 78 min CDs, but lets hope for more :)

Great, regardless of the price tag, my new job can take care of it, YAY!

PS: You guys talk like old wives. I spent half an hour reading all this (and with the fear the last post would be 'No expanded TOD or LC' )

And, most importantly, there's no word about the tracklist of Temple of Doom and Last Crusade.

I fear that the answer of your 4th question it's that there will be just 5 CDs. I mean, we only know the tracklist of Raiders, and that fits on only 1 CD.

Of course I hope that Temple of Doom and Last Crusade will be REALLY expanded, but I highly doubt that.

Overall, I think that, in the end, we waited so long for these two scores to be expanded, that we must be happy with this box-set because it's still better than nothing...

I'm sure these scores will also be expanded! It says clearly, "expanded and remastered versions of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and exclusive to this set: Indiana Jones & The Temple Doom, and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade". It's plural!! :)

Yes, of course they'll be expanded. But I think they both will be on one CD. If both Temple of Doom and Last Crusade gets a serious 2 CDs release, it means that Lucas have been reading this board and all the online petitions for quite a lot of years now. :)

And also keep in mind that the Last Crusade OST CD is still available in almost any CD store, so I don't think it makes any sense to re-release the same identical CD which it's still available. ;)

If i was Lucas and read these forums i would say 'I'm not releasing these scores ever, you bunch of Sons of a b....' :)

Can we keep this thread to discussing the upcoming Indy box set?

I agree. According to the complete Raiders cue list posted on the FSM board (and quoted here by someone else), I've done some maths and I think it's very likely we'll get the complete "Well of the Souls" track as heard only on the DCC double LP so far. If my calculations are right, with the new unreleased tracks we'd have a CD totaling 79:45. The only cues that would still be missing are "The Poisoning" and "The Mummy Cave".

So the track list with times should be something like this:

01. In the Jungle (04:10)

02. The Idol Temple (3:56)

03. Escape from the Temple (1:34)

04. Flight from Peru (2:20)

05. Washington Men/Indy's Home (1:08)

06. A Thought for Marion/To Nepal (2:11)

07. The Medallion (2:54)

08. Flight to Cairo (1:30)

09. The Basket Game (5:04)

10. Bad Dates (0:25)

11. The Map Room/Dawn (3:52)

12. Reunion in the Tent/Searching for the Well (4:11)

13. The Well of the Souls (11:29)

14. Indy Rides the Statue (1:06)

15. The Fist Fight/The Flying Wing (4:37)

16. Desert Chase (8:17)

17. Marion's Theme/The Crate (2:08)

18. The German Sub (1:14)

19. Ride to the Nazi Hideout (3:18)

20. Indy Follows the Ark (1:33)

21. The Miracle of the Ark (6:05)

22. Washington Ending & Raiders March (6:17)

Total Time: 79:45

As for Temple of Doom, the complete score (without concert arrangements or source music) is around 100 minutes, while Last Crusade is more or less 112-115 minutes.

Well, this is nothing new...we all know that every Indy movie has music in almost the whole movie...in fact, using your numbers, Temple of Doom has about 100 minutes out of being a 118 minutes movie, while Last Crusade has about 115 minutes out of 127 minutes movie...so, back to the thread, we'll getting incomplete single CDs or kinda serious 2 CDs releases.

But then again, both of them (execially the Temple of Doom OST) was so incomplete that even a single CD is a really welcomed release, finally!
