Not to mention the fact that the show has continuously aired since it premiered, so there's always been "watchable" copies around, and the studio, of course, would have catalogged and stored good copies so they would always be available for viewing.The music, on the other hand, has been sitting in vaults untouched for 50 years decaying since they stopped making the show. The only reason these sets took forever to be released is because they kept recording audio commentaries for every single episodes. While the effort and tenacity to keep doing that 17 seasons in is commendable, I would have gladly sacrificed the commentaries for getting these sets out quicker and completing the series. They somehow saw fit to casually dump season 20 onto the market without any extras and that worked out fine. Where's the rest of the series, dammit?!
