Yes, but they are going to sell SUBSTANTIALLY more copies, so they will get their money back. Not to mention the fact that the show has continuously aired since it premiered, so there's always been "watchable" copies around, and the studio, of course, would have catalogged and stored good copies so they would always be available for viewing.

The music, on the other hand, has been sitting in vaults untouched for 50 years decaying since they stopped making the show. Far more time and work went into making this box set than making the DVD box set.

Lukas' post reminds me of those PBS broadcasts where the presenter is talking about a financial crisis at the station and "we need your help!" And behind him, you'd see rows of volunteers accepting donations over the telephone.

Only 23,9 euros!!

(comes to $38,86 shipped to USA)

And also, it includes the corrected discs! No need to ask for replacements as you'd do if you bought the US set. (currently going at $111)

And, the discs and book are in English and it's Region free!

lol! I was actually thinking of suggesting that image as an avatar for you!

I love Ghibli.

Did you know that although they said they're doing no more animation features, it seems they will be doing one after all?

Long anticipated release on Bluray!

The X-Files - The Complete series!

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=267673

edit: If someone is anal about OAR though (like me), you might be unlucky!

I'm watching the series on Netflix at the moment (I'd only ever seen the first season before). Up to the middle of season 3 now, and not once has the 16:9 framing felt off.

I didn't say it's off.

I said it's not the original.

And Fox cancels The Simpsons and other series on DVD and BD but releases The X-Files and Lost In Space?

Who cares? You can catch them on FXX anyway alongside the original episodes in their original intended aspect ratio.

But I want my collection to be complete.

I'm still pissed off about that. Fourteen years of collecting Simpsons DVD's, waiting patiently for each new season to come at a fucking ridiculously slow pace. And now they pull the plug entirely. Idiots!

At the very least I would have liked to close the gap between season 17 and 20...

The only reason these sets took forever to be released is because they kept recording audio commentaries for every single episodes. While the effort and tenacity to keep doing that 17 seasons in is commendable, I would have gladly sacrificed the commentaries for getting these sets out quicker and completing the series. They somehow saw fit to casually dump season 20 onto the market without any extras and that worked out fine. Where's the rest of the series, dammit?!

Yes, but Mr. B and Drax suffer from collectoritis.

When did I say anything that suggested.... Oh wait, different Mr. B. (I'm guessing Mr. BM doesn't sound quite as good :P and he was here before I was so that helps too)

What's the benefits of owning the new BTTF blu-rays over the old ones?

Be aware, the films are the exact same discs with the old ones!

No new transfer.

It's the old Blurays plagued with DNR that have disappointed fans..

Unless you're someone that likes degraining!
