Kid's movie? There's nothing inherent about it that warrants a kid's movie.

I'm sure it's high literature in America but here in Europe is a classic for young readers. Then there's the Disney aspect ...

It might be a classic for young readers, but it's still high literature...for any age

Kevin Smith's followup to TUSK is caled HOSERS and will star Johnny Depp, his daughter Lily-Rose Depp, Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith, Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey and Jason Mewes - plus returning TUSK cast members Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman, Jennifer Schwalbach and Harley Morenstein.

Plot:

Hosers, written by Smith, centers on 15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe (Depp) to fight for their lives with, according to the producers, “all seven Charkas, one Warrior Pose at a time.”

Close, but Cruise never feels like a drama heavyweight, even when he does more serious roles. I think McConaughey is slowly but surely stepping into Daniel-Day Lewis or Robert De Niro territory. Scorsese and Nolan will want to work with him.

Possibly. There's definitely a greater sense of gravitas where Mcconaughey is concerned. Gyllenhaal reminds me of a young and intense Ricard Gear. Hopefully though Jake will continue to make all the right choices, and not end up in romantic comedies when he starts going grey at the back and sides.

Not according to the image in this link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/arnold-schwarzeneggers-maggie-sells-lionsgate-728165

I know it's a long shot, but I'd love this to accomplish some semblance of a The Last of Us vibe. Even with Arnold's unlikely Austrian accent ;)

Which in turn is based on She Moved Through the Fair.

I cannot for the life of me understand the reasoning behind the use of that song in a trailer for a movie of this ilk

I think they are showing HTTYD2 on my plane home, which is nice cause I haven't seen it.

Anyways, I always thought it was too ambitious to get the third one out only 2 years after the second.
